I know that there is a newsletter sign up on the Official Western Blade and Soul Website
The problem is that I haven't actually gotten one. Its been a few months and I've double checked my spam box just in case
I have gmail and Have tried to re-subscribe (got the message that says I was already subscribed)
anyone know whats up?

There probably is none yet because the game is too far away from release in the west.

They haven't released any yet cause they're busy working on the game

A few months? It's been two months, and it's normal, they don't have much to say yet so what did you expect. It's a newsletter, but it's not something that you'll get daily, weekly or even monthly. It's something that will come, with time.

Sure, didn't count on getting anything so soon, though I subbed 1st of october, and no newsletter with the news on the site either. They had like 3 or 4 articles I hadn't read coz newsletter wasn't present :P

it's par for the course, newsletters usually don't get sent often before a game comes out. They usually give news about beta's and release dates, so those have to exist first

Yeah ... the newsletter aspect still says "coming soon" so ... not expecting anything any time soon.

I imagine we'll start receiving newsletter information once the game is closer to launch. Right now, there probably isn't any significant news available (i.e. answers to the pending FAQ).

Soon is now the standard accepted phrase to use for video game development and localization. It means, "anytime from this point on our timeline until the end of such."

You shouldn't expect much from a newsletter in the first place.
Generally the newsletters are compilations of info they post on their website, it won't be anything "new" unless you're not visiting their website semi-regularly.
I wouldn't expect BnS developments in the West until Spring of 2013 at the earliest, it would be a gg moment if they put the release date at 2014 as it would be pointless.
The game is very much so released in the East and China is getting it soon too. They are translating it and that'll take however long it takes.
Personally I hope they don't waste time with a bunch of CBTs before they decide to OBT and then eventually launch. The CBTs in Korea were a big deal since they were still shaping up and developing the game.
It is a completed product and CBTs would be strictly to test server specs out, having a bunch of them is ultimately pointless IMO and is just going to delay things.
