I don't know what you mean by that. Most MMORPGs are really bad, you make the choice to play them regardless of what's happening with Blade and Soul.

There's a source thank you! I had no doubt after I played the Open Beta that B&S would be played and recognized. The game is that good.

That's the thing I've tried many mmorpgs just to see what these games are like and jesus are they bad.

Happy to see they've listened to the complains and hopefully they stay atop.
But keep in mind this is only in Korea and their approach to games in general is radically different than that in the west and even in Japan.

I have no doubt it will do way better than some recent Asian mmos released. If its as good as KR we shouldn't be worried. Not like i would notice though ill be too wrapped up in game lol

As someone whose worked in the industry allow me to point out a few things that others touched on.

First, congratulations to B&S for winning the award. Kudos to Team Bloodlust and everyone that made it possible.

Now to share what others have somewhat commented on, this doesn't exactly mean anything outside Korea. Korea as we now is a centered in MMO/PC gaming and pays little attention to other market systems due to country regulations regarding them with the exception of mobile gaming services. Notice how the "Best Game" award went to a mobile game? That would never happen (at least not anytime soon) in NA, EU, or JP.

That being said, glad to see B&S get awarded on some level and I hope the team over here brings out a quality product for the rest of us. Don't expect to see it win any "GOTY" awards over here though. Best PC game? Maybe. Best MMO of 2013? Quite possibly. But thats it.

Again, I'm happy to see this and congratulations once again.

Agreed. However I only hoped it would win best MMO of 2013 or best PC game to begin with. That is what I consider successful for an MMO in the west.

All you can do is provide as much constructive feedback for the NA localization team then and critique positively and hope that our culminated efforts result in this game becoming MMO/PC game of the year contender in 2013.

Actually I don't care that much if it gets the best game, GOTY, ... awards. For me it's just the game I wanted.
It might be a stupid game to the 95% of the gaming community, but I actually couldn't care less.

Though If the game does good, this indeed means that the company will put more money into it. Improving the servers, releasing more DLCs, expansions, etc.

But beside from that, like I said I don't care. I LOVE this game, and I hope I will Enjoy this game like no other.

Though Congrats though. It's not easy to be ranked so good in a country like Korea, where MMO gaming is a national sport.
