That's what I'm saying. There's no need to push B&S so far into next year. If anything that will be bad for them since it's already out in Korea. If they let it stand in Korea for a year like that without a release here the potential for a backlash (could be anything, from people not liking dubs, to people who don't like sexy females, to haters in general).

That Duke Nukem Forever feel where people expect the game to be greater and greater (because of how long it's been in development/being udpated in Korea) can be very damaging eventually.

It honestly depends on how good the localization teams are, and just how much content must be localized. Here's an article that gives you a fairly general idea of the process. If they've begun the process last month or even this month, I think we'd probably see it sometime late Q2 or Q3.

Simply based on how unknown the game is in the West, I would expect it to be a while.

They have to get the hype train rolling over here and that can be a lengthy process. A few beta tests every couple of months, english gameplay videos, trailers, ect. Games just don't get popular over night, and you can guarantee they won't release until they think the game has gotten enough hype to sell.

In 6 months people will be crawling away from GW2 and Mists of Pandaria probably begging for something new. Queue B&S hype.

Gotta agree. I know some people would be put off by having to read subtitles for a game, but honestly I'm more turned off by terrible voice acting. XD

The localization team doesn't even have any dates for anything yet, CBT and OBT, there's still the voice cast if they are even doing it, I can see them taking their time and like its already been said, since the game is not that well know here in the west they have to build up the hype for it, so I can see them using 2013 E3 for it, so we will probably see it around the fall or later, still I hope I'm wrong.

More like a small alpha event rather than a Closed Beta.

I see them opening the game to a very small amount of people to test the game later this year.

It's not about how fast a couple of people could translate the game, it's all about bureaucracy and paper work. And guys who working on this project get they salary per month, so they not motivated to finish the project early. Just thoughts...

This doesn't really apply since MMOs are a constant thing, and they'll still need the localization team for newer content.

I'm sharing same thoughts with Ghastly. I just recall how long I've waited for Aion the same way.
I thought it's getting better and better, but it was a huge disappointment when it came out, even though I still played it first couple months.

It was something like "Wow, it has awsome graphics and gameplay, never seen such before", and then after waiting for some time, other games start popping up, with even better graphics and gameplay. So, in the end you log in the game, that you've been waiting for so long,
but you start feeling like it's "nothing special", since your eyes got used to better stuff by now.

You can't let games sit for too long. The risk of other big name games and competition coming in to steal your thunder, ideas and beauty is too high. B&S is still the best current mmorpg but how long until something else pops up with a heavy focus on gameplay and art? A matter time.

It's a hard balancing act but my hope is that we don't have wait until late 2013.

While you are correct that there is always the threat of a new competitor, it is taken as a natural reoccuring theme of said market. Having experience with the MMO market, I just can't see this being ready by Spring or Summer of next year. There is just so much more to it than translation and localization. Heck, just use the experience from EVERY other MMO that has ever hit North America. Even when all is said and done and everything is ready to go; on launch day EVERY single MMO still has problems they don't expect.

I see a lot of people on these forums saying the NA launch doesn't need a Pre-CBT stress test and CBT and just jump straight into OBT, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Therefore, as most of us dedicated fans here have said before, a little more patience is not going to hurt anyone.

Would I like to see B&S be released ASAP? You bet. But is it currently realistic? I personally don't think so.
