This is the first time I have ever been excited about crafting in a game.
I feel.... weird.

I'm hyped for Dark Souls II as well, but all the classes for FFXIV were not revealed in the alpha, we'll get to see the rest soon and perhaps the rest of the disciples. Other than that, all the ones revealed so far are staple FF classes people have come to love. We'll see if they try anything new in the beta or future.

It still feels really limited, this is the kind of thing that can make someone wait years until they add a classes that aren't the same boring old healer, dps, tank.
This is really why I found B&S really fun, it's not the same old thing where unless you're the DPS class you just stand there. Spam...

Yet in B&S, you're all three. DPS/Heal/Tank. So it's 3x as boring!
Seriously though, between GW2 and B&S, sometimes I wish we had a new and awesome MMO that recycles the trinity. The trinity is a lot of fun, specially in dungeons and raid instances/battlegrounds.
Some people don't appreciate it, but that's fine.

"Limited" is definitely not the word I word choose to describe it.

I feel like the only class that would get boring would be Summoner/FM.. Because let's be honestly, the caster classes always get the most boring the fastest. At least for me. O:

Indeed. Sometimes I want to pick a healer or a debuffer and just specialize and do my job properly. I don't want a party where everyone can heal/DPS/tank. It's the core of FF, make your own party and choose your own classes.

This is good.
I hope they add elemental attributes to the zones (IE: Desert = Fire/Earth, Snowy Fields = Ice/Water, etc). just like in FFXI. I loved those sandstorms and other crazy stuff in the Dunes.
