I believe the majority of all the videos being put out right now are just the developers showing brief clips and how things are working now. I believe they are clicking on everything just so people know what they are doing exactly, and how they are doing it. At least that's what I gathered/heard.

Once beta starts I'm sure the combat and game itself will look a lot more involved once gamers themselves get a hold of it.

The more alpha videos they put out the better and better this game starts to look. I'm really impressed that Square Enix has taken such lengths to fix a game that every other gaming company in the world would have just abandoned.

I think I'll stick to jrpgs and B&S.

FF is supposed to have some semblance of taking turns...not making the bosses flinch from all the spam.

I think they're wanting to get away from the turns thing. They did say they will fix the animations though so the flinching should get resolved. Turn based combat would make the game fail hard again and they don't need another dent in their wallet.

I for one am more excited for this game after seeing some of the combat. Looks interesting to me.
