My question; Did they ever plan to release more content after the "last fight" light increase level cap, add new skills, and all that?
Another thing is... A bunch of friends of mine are gunna be trying to play on Durandal server if the names are the same. Which i assume they are if theyre keeps the old characters. So if anyone would like to join us on that server feel free! make friends and such!
Ontop of that its said that we be able to re-customize our characters in the 2.0 release, as well as change our name. I dont know if that means change servers too but hopefull we can! But if not im still going to change my server to durandal. Im a white mage so ill be healing and stuff. Hopefully we can all play together ^_^
On that server note btw; if the servers arnt the same ill post what server my crew is going too :) i think some people from the dojo may join too :P

Give it some time, I do believe it's still in late Alpha so things can still change. Yoshi is very reactive of what fans want.

Very valid point about being able to control up to 3-4 characters in the main FF games as opposed to 1 in the online FFs.
They better speed up the fighting or make positioning like moving around important.

I think that may be why I never really gave the online FFs much of a chance. It really looked like a traditional semi-turn-based RPG but online, which looked like it would be pretty slow-paced. I dunno, I'm interested in seeing all the changes they're making to it though.

Positioning has ALWAYS been incredibly important in FF11 and even FF14. Speed is also incresed through items/group buffs.
The Thief class in particular can deal more damage from behind and apply effects from the sides. This is why some classes are more powerful solo than others.
For instance, a Ninja tank with a Thief DPS is an amazing combination; because the Thief can transfer all the threat/hate to the Ninja, who can deal with the attacks from the target, while the Thief deals more and more damage, as he can stay behind the target.
I believe the game will be more FF11 oriented than anything and if so, then the game is likely 80-90% group based and the other 20-10% is solo.
But you know, gotta wait and see...
