Assassin's Counter move

Just a quick question on the specifics of the Assassin's counter move - I know in general it moves the Sin behind the opponent that attacked him/her. However, I noticed in a video that when an Assassin countered a FM's attack, it simply moved the Assassin behind the original point of impact of the magic attack, and not behind the caster. On the other hand, when a BM used his Summon Swords skill and attacked from a distance, the Assassin's counter moved him right behind the BM, closing the gap. Is this discrepancy intended or is this a bug? Just wondering for any who know. Thanks!

It is simply like this, assassins are very evasive and have multiple move sets that allows them to avoid damage from an attack, and puts them in the perfect position or counter position to deal immense amounts of damage before the caster(or other class ) even notices your presence.
On the other hand i believe you have a way to decide which way you are going to teleport or to what area you are going to teleport to.

Naw, he spoke about a certain skill, the one that leaves behind you a sliced wood sorta naruto substitution jutsu.
That skill should teleport you behind your opponent in any case, else there's no point in it, like it happened for you with FM,
I believe that was just a bug, since the game is being still developed and bugs in beta's are a must.

I was talking about this video specifically: !
At around 2:24, it looks kind of like the Sin's counter moved him behind the fireball. Or I could just be blind and it's simply a flashy backflip, I can't really tell..
On the other hand, a few seconds after that, does anyone else notice the Sin appears to reverse his frozen effect, freezing the FM instead? It seems like an immensely useful skill.

Yeah, that's just a buggy situation and seems like he used the charge, not substitution skill, while being already close enough. And It's FM's skill that allows him to freeze himself in an ice barrier, that's most-likey used for waiting for cooldowns.
