WOW is a good example of this. You can tell the races apart very quickly but mostly due to their personalities.
Now in B&S and many other Korean MMOG, every char. behaves the same. Be it female or male. I can't really see much if any difference other than of course, the obvious male/female features.
When you play a male Worgen in WOW and a female one, you can tell RIGHT AWAY that there is some serious personality changes when swaping characters.
When you do the same in Aion? Yeah... nice girly voice if you're female. Nice manly voice if you're male. That's it.
I think it should go further besides just voice and features. Go all the way to animations, how they act, etc.
This IMO is the biggest turn off to play a male character in most Korean games.
Mainly because...
1) Female char. are definitely more attractive physically and items will look better on them as well, almost 100% of the time.
2) Female gamers usually (Not always) want to play as the most cute/feminine char. they can forge.
3) Male gamers will not play a male char. unless that char. has something that makes it stand out as "badass" or "cool" -- which again, goes back to personality.
Thus you have the two male char. sitting in town and the other 99% being female char. running around in most Korean games.
In short...
Add male Worgens to B&S and I'll be happy.

That said, I definitely agree with the idea that character design, as a whole, should be better for male characters in most MMOs.

I'm sorry I can't get what you're talking about because male and female we very different in Aion to me. Of course I never see this whole the asian dude looks like a chick thing. But besides that they had some difference in animations and such. Though I think they may have slacked on the cut scenes, but I didn't get to any of the cut scenes that heavily showed your character on my female because she was for rifting and dancing on dead bodies.
I could see you point in some other games, ftp mostly even in some of them I can recall distinctions, like this one game where a female wielding a knife looked like she was threatening her husband and was a pro slice n' dicer and a dude with a knife looked like a serial killer with a stab fetish.
Hmph maybe it was the combat animations, those seemed to be the same, the various idle animations were different though. Like the standing in water one for my female character.
But in Blade & Soul the differences seem to be more about the class than the gender I guess.

All of the above are completely different for Worgen male/female and other races.
In almost every Korean MMOG I've played...
Combat animations and damage taken is nearly if not completely identical.
Special attacks and death are often identical.
Idle gestures are slightly different but not by much.
Walking/running can be identical depending on the size/model you choose.
So on and so forth.
Compared to WOW, Aion is very "bland" on the animation/character department, thus why I really didn't care to play a male character there.
The only two games that somehow managed to get me to play male characters thus far are WOW and FFXI and even WOW suffered greatly with most models (Humans come to mind RIGHT away) but nowhere nearly as bad as Aion.
FFXI male char. were pretty stiff at the time, too. But for what they were at the time, it was pretty amazing. Today? Not at all. It has aged badly in this area.

Well like I said, ^ Those were different.
I know I hated how the female ran with dual daggers. Though I'm wondering if I'm mixing up the run animations. I know everything else was different.

I can already tell you that if things stay the way they are, I am not touching a male char. in this game nor in Tera.
It could also have to do with my attraction to different things.
I rarely play just one race if they give me multiple races/factions. But if you give me one race/faction and two genders, then unless the two genders are different enough, I won't touch anything but the female char. (Oh pun).

I personally find male characters looking good enough already. The only thing that bothered me was huge difference in early costumes for both genders, where female costumes are without doubt better looking, though 20-25+ costumes for male characters aren't worse than female ones. I'm personally a fan of those shorts filled with air and floating accessories like scarfs.
Back on topic - I believe adding atleast twice more hairstyles than there already is would fix the "NON-uniqueness" that usually appears in MMORPG's.Since the game is made for massive amount of players, 5 to 10 or even 10 to 20 hairstyle choices, kinda doesn't cut it imo. And why am I talking about the hairstyles? Because, if we put nicknames aside, hairstyle is usually the first thing that you're recognizing someone by. Latest character customization video showed us that we'll be able to change face details like eye color shapes and so on, thus the chance that someone's gonna have same hairstyle as your character is higher than someone's gonna wear your costume. So yeah, having as many different hairstyles as possible is my suggestion and I did read previous posts. <_<;(just not all) Hairstyle is one of the core items that's making those guys on photo's as popular or as handsome as they are.

I like bishonen.
:3
But what I like best is emo guys...I always want to make them smile~ o///.///o
I fall for 'em...even by accident!!!
*Yes, I count Cloud as emo because he doesn't talk or smile much, and yes, I also count Juto as emo because he's so angsty through-out the game.^^*
Oh! Almost forgot!!!
Ideas for how the races should be different:
Gon: Manly men.
Jin: Smexy-bishi men.
Lyn: Adorible puppy-like little boys.
:3
That way, all us girls with our different types can get the eye-candy we want!!!^^
