i think it was back in the beginning when they were under attack and the evil kun killed the old lyn and took his sword.....the player tries to fight her and she cuts you with the blade sending you flying into the ocean.....thats the only thing i can think of

Yes, You are right. Scar of mookhwa.
mookhwa refers 'black flower'.
You can see that every attack the evil kun do have black aura comes out, and you character spouting black effect.
According to story line, the evil kun(진서연) has power of black flower and that mess every people wounded by her.
But player character is protected by a woman from heaven, so he/she can stand even with the scar of black flower

I Don't want to spoil the game by watching all the cut-scenes translated now.
So I Must ask, why do you?

Well to be honest, even just watching the cutscenes without translations, you can grasp basic knowledge. Just looking at what was happening, for example the scar thing; I noticed it kept happening. Eventually I just assumed it had something to do with that initial cut in the beginning and the black 'auras' from both sides.
But even those who know the story now will probably still watch it when it's fully translated when they play it. It's still new, and it's on their screen without bad quality, and with their character in the scenes.

Because some people are curious and don't mind (or even enjoy) spoilers. Besides, there's nothing wrong with trying to learn what's going on in most of those cutscenes.
I'm not going to watch the videos for the same reason, but I appreciate the effort.

Like said already you can get the gist of cut-scenes by watching them untranslated, some people don't mind spoilers, & some people just want all the info the can get about the game BEFORE it comes out (Story-wise or otherwise).
But really. .If you don't want a game spoiled, you really shouldn't be following a game so long (or at all really) before it's release. Knowing even little things about the game before you play it changes the feeling a lot when you get your hands on it.
What's with all this noise?
