Can the mod who do beta testing tell me what keys used for skills? if so is the key far apart? Can you change the key configuration for the skills?

Extra Question (optional to answer)

1. Can you change gear in fight, let say you fight a gon destroyer who had weakness to certain weapon and you gain extra resist equipping some armor, can you guys confirm that for example after fighting a jin swordmaster I switch weapons and armor while running around and then engage the gon destroyer? is it possible?
2. For quest, do you have quest marker that tell you everything or you need to find information piece by piece?
3. How much is the exp rate/How fast do one lvl?

Thank you mod for answering this question. If you cant say the information its fine, I just wanted to know the game difficulty.

Note: I do wish the assassin class has a super hard to unlock skill called enchant deadly poison and soul link that give assassin atk x8 on any skill and attack modifier like RO does and some elemental converter for extra damage :D (jk jk, it would be op if it does)

Ability hotkeys are Tab, 1-4, R, F, Z, X, C and V. The 'F' key is also used for all actions in the game, actions such as looting and speaking with an NPC. Hotkeys 5-8 are used for your consumables (food and potions). I don't believe you can re-keybind the abilities, I couldn't read Korean so you'd have to ask Yuan or Elimer to be sure.

Here's an image. You can see the hotkeys on the buttons. The 'F' key is missing in the screenshot, it appears under the 'R' key when available for use.

  • Once you attack or are attacked you are placed in combat, you can not change gear or use Qing Gong while in combat. In order to leave combat you must defeat the enemy, run away, or in PvP situations not attack/be attacked for a certain amount of time.
  • Yes. The minimap and map will tell you exactly where to go and what you need. Also, enemy tool tip information will tell you if you need that mob for a quest or not.
  • Levels 4-10 are actually surprisingly slow in the game. It took us roughly 5-8 hours to reach level 10 solo. We've noticed that questing is the fastest way to gain experience in the game.

Odd, the Q and E keys are not being used, those would seam like good keys for actions.

Q and E are being used, they are used for side-stepping if I'm not mistaken. Basically, any extension of WASD. If you ever played WoW I think you know what I'm referring to.

I really hope you can change the keybinds. I have a Razer Naga mouse and it will be very inconvenient if I can't change the letter keybinds to numbers...

There are technically 2 forms of WASD, in conjecture to forward, back, strafe left and strafe right.

1 is WASD the other is QWES

The only difference between the two is which keys are used for the turn left and turn right. Which are normally either QE or AD. ( i normaly use WASD for movement with QE as the turning buttons)

I was just curious because from the beta videos because during combat there is no mouse on the screen (from what I have seen) where the mouse is locked to the camera look. The only times i've seen the mouse appear on the screen was if an in game menu was opened or the player was talking to an npc.

W/S are forward/backward respectively. A/D are turn left/right respectively. Hold the right mouse button to enter mouse look, which you're using like 75% of the time, so I fully expect to wear out a mouse or two. You can only strafe while mouse looking, and strafing is pretty crucial in combat, which is why you rarely saw the cursor.

Later in levels, you can learn two quick dodge moves, by default assigned to Q and E for left and right.

I really hope they add controller support for the next event, but I doubt there's enough buttons on one to be effective.

I wasn't able to remap any keyboard commands to the mouse (I wanted to change R to Mouse4), but it might be possible that functionality simply wasn't added in the beta.

Hmm interesting, though I do hope you can bind strafe left/right to the movement keys rather than turn left/right then have the look and turning to the mouse, or have a single click lock the look the a second click would unlock it. That would definitely save a mouse or two and not have your hand get tired.

Actually, E key is used for hotkey. Only thing about the E hotkey is that it does not show on the UI. for example the E key on my KFM was hotkey for the Side step skill which had a combo of its own to follow when successful. I even uploaded the sidestep video so you should check out my video thread.

I'll be rebinding movement to mouse. I tend to enable auto run to middle mouse button and while holding down left+right click it enables auto walk until released.
This is the best way to PVP in MMOG and typically the most comfortable way to play them.
WASD and all other keys to the left will be re-bound to skills only for easy access and strafe of course.

Even if the game doesn't let you re-bind keys, you can do it anyway via XPADDER.
Just download a keyboard/mouse image (Or controller image if you want to mod one) and customize away.

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hara-kiri rock. I need scissors! 61!

^ This. I was planning on buying that mouse and using it in this game. It would be rather crappy if they stopped keybinding.

I didn't have to do anything.
The game is already customized with this mindset! Relief for me.
As for those wishing to mod mice like the Razer series...
Some keys are modded automatically. The game client takes them no problem. But many keys are not mapped in the client, so you need to use XPADDER.

For those looking to play the game with a controller... I'm sorry, but there's no mapping for controller in the client at the moment. This may change with CBT2.
However, you can map it with XPADDER easily.
