I, personally (read: my opinion) think the game is very fun. I feel like I have more control of my character because I don't have to stand still and take it when an enemy is attacking me. I don't have to "wait my turn". I can dodge, I can run away, I can backpeddle, I can jump behind the enemy. Good times.
As far as attacks being dynamic, I think once you get used to everything and get a handle on how the enemies move, you'll have an idea of which skills to move. I won't say that you can hit buttons without thought or anything, but you will eventually have a rotation. But then again, I haven't played any high level content. My highest level character was level 23.
I haven't done any dungeons ... since I'm not really into doing dungeons. If you visit Steparu.com, Steparu's got lots of videos of dungeons posted if you wish to check them out. http://steparu.com/p...of-argon-bosses
I had my doubts about some of the classes, so played some of those during beta (not planning to touch them at launch), but I truly had a lot of fun with every class.
All in all, these are just opinions and you should try the game for yourself. Open Beta starts on April 20th and is open to everyone:
Here's how to get started:
1. Log in to your En Masse account. If you do not have an En Masse account yet, create one!
2. Click the Enter Code button on the right.
3. Enter the Open Beta Test code: TERABETA
4. Click the Submit button.
5. Click the Download Game button under the Account Overview tab.
6. This will start downloading the game launcher.
7. Run the launcher and install the game so you'll be ready to go when the servers open!

Would love to, but I still have my 4-year-old Macbook. I'll replace it soon, but I wanted to know what I could before I did.
(So many things to do, regarding that. Gotta get more RAM, maybe a SSD, a copy of Windows 7 (or XP?), an HDMI adapter for the TV... and even then, I need to see whether Apple's going to release a new model soon, since I'm hearing rumors... STILL less expensive than buying a separate PC, though.)
Edit: true story, I was top dps and heals once, in WoW. As a ret paladin, on Loatheb in Naxx, back when we still had Judgement of Light. For 3 out of every 20 seconds, people received heals from that, and I guess that was enough!

Putting your own gaming PC together will cost you less than the 1,000 USD (Minimum) that Apple asks for their Macbooks.
Katzbalger, Option, Miku, Nuh, Mai, Carue, Style, Enel, Hsien Ko, etc.

I don't think I was clear. I'm going to buy an Apple laptop to replace my current old one, for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with gaming. If I were to buy a gaming PC in addition to that laptop, it would be more expensive than simply making sure that the replacement laptop has the muscle to do gaming as well.
Not looking to start up that old argument, but that's just how it is, though I appreciate the concern for my wallet. :)

But if what you wanted was to run it under Bootcamp or Parallels, then yes. More RAM will help. An SSD will only help with cutscenes, though and nothing else.

Was just being careful, didn't mean to direct that solely at you! And Boot Camp was the plan, yeah.
Only with cutscenes, you say? A friend kept stressing how an SSD would be more help for running things than any processor, but damn they are expensive and for not all that much space. Would be nice to save some money if it's not actually going to significantly affect anything in gameplay.

All around, SSD is the future. They're amazing all around.
But for gaming in specific? Not really all that great.
You'll notice that some areas load a little smoother with SSD if anything. But the biggest win in TERA is how easy they load cutscenes and other things that have rendering set to on demand.
Oh and Arec, I'll be on Celestial Hills with some friends who want to RP.
But I'll also have a few other characters in PVP realms. Haven't thought of which just yet.

Hark brave warrior of the federation! I seek help for the people of my village! Whilst the armies are being set to the Argonian front the mountain bandits have taken the opportunity to besiege all the villages, taking as they will and plundering everything in their wake! I beg of thee brave soldier! Accompany and my meek party to the mountain to cut down Hugh Jass, the leader of the mountain bandits!

I don't know how the NCsoft lawsuit is going in NA. But over in Korea the case made it's way all the way to the Supreme Court of Korea.
The Supreme Court of Korea finally came down with a decision yesterday and decided that BHS itself was not guilty of any charges or wrongdoings.
But charged YH PARK (former TERA's executive director, who stepped down last Aug.) and two other former NCSOFT Employees of Leaking Corporate trade secrets, and each have to pay 2 billion won each in restitution to NCsoft, and will now face criminal charges. Criminal charge sentencing will be held at a later date.
This is the final decision of the Korean supreme court.

Like another Phoenix Wright episode, case closed. BHS not guilty.
Those initially involved in the issue have been fined.
Moving on.

The case is still being arranged here in the US. Keep in mind it took 3+ years in Korea just to get to this stage.

BHS is literally clean of all fault and they own the property as it was bought/obtained through contract from the previous employees. So technically this whole fiasco has been a transfer of rights over what I suspect is a few bits of code and nothing more.
But you never know.
The NA courts are ridiculous when it comes to patents. They're known to even take patent trolls seriously, unless a competent judge steps in.
From a logical standpoint, this should be over.
From the drama driven world we live in point of view? Far from over.
