Wow, MikeB's stuff was awesome - ESPECIALLY the tour of the Norn area. AMAZING stuff. I had no plans to make a norn, but I think I'm going to have to now. I saw some great hair and builds in the character creator.

It's too bad he didn't have a tour of the Slyvari and the Asura capitols.

I do have one question though - some of the textures looked low res. Did he mention whether or not he was using high res?

I would have liked to see them aswell. Unfortunatly those were the two races that testers were locked out of for the test over the weekend. Not sure about them thar texture paks.

Apparently, Arenanet is making some kind of surprise announcement on the official GW2 website as well as on their social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) today. Everyone is speculating that it will be about beta. I'm not sure what to think.

Well they said they'd have regular folks get into some Beta weekends March and April? Sooooo I'm stalking the facebook and home page to see what it is.
So far all the press info has made me a lot more excited of this game than I was before. Before it was a mix of curiosity with a mild urge to pull it apart and find out what makes it tick and how it is accepted.
Now I want to play it so bad.
Just going to live in the Mists though. (WvWvW)

If you're planning to actually play this weekend, I suggest you start downloading the client before then since the file is quite large and their download servers aren't exactly speedy. And watch some GW2 videos while you do (on topic =P)
