My Force Master is going to be a Kun or a Jin. I'm leaning towards a Kun. I didn't add an undecided option because I just wanted the race people were leaning towards. Your decision doesn't have to be permanent.

EDIT: I have actually changed the race I want to play. After the 1st CBT I was convinced to play a Gon Female.

Most likely Kun, but depends on the racial stats. There is little info on that topic so far.

According to screenshot on Force master thread. You can see on the bottom left of character creation screen shot that every race have the same status chart. So I don't think they have racial status for race.

Probably a Lyn unless they get some other cool class. Of course it's likely to be my 3rd 4th Alt.

Well, Hyung-Tae Kim said something else in the 2009 Q&A.

@ 4:07

However that will be implemented we'll see sooner or later.

He said that the skills of each race are based on it's racial traits and that each play style varies.
Traits does translate quite well to stats.

When did stats and skills become a same thing?
I think firstly you said is stats and when I reply on stat you pick skills, and now you said stat is skills!?
I confused.

I'm pretty sure racial skill that was mentioned in Q&A is not character stat growth but a skills or move.

Here yours 1st reply.

That why I referenced to Dojo topic about FM which show a character creation screen. :shakehead: :shakehead:

You mentioned the skills not me.
I merely quoted Hyung-Tae Kim above cause it seems you have misread his statement.
I'm sure if you take your time to read it all again, you'll see there is no reason to be confused.
In short, I don't think we know enough about those traits/stats to make a final decision on what race we should pick with what job however. It might have influence or it might not. It might just be a race/job restriction and since the destroyer profile might follow today, I wouldn't be surprised to see certain races missing in the playable list.

However that will be implemented we'll see sooner or later.

I think these racials are kinda defined in the race lore. For example, in the lore it says "They have inherited the ability of a legendary creature, the Kylin. This trait allows Lyn to communicate with the realm of the dead and grants them access to secrets and mysteries hidden from the ordinary folk" So it seems, there racials might involve seeing threw hidden things as well with something along the lines of communication with the dead? What ever that would do im not sure?

In the Kun's lore it says "They are very in tune with nature and have a love for the arts and entertain themselves with music and poetry." So, there racials might involve singing/art, and nature. So maybe herbalism or a buff to if they are a bard class if there will be such a thing? You ccan maybe get an idea from it..

Gon's lore says "The Gon's represent the spirit of earth; strong, proud, and steadfast. However, in ancient times they were easily manipulated by evil forces. It is said that the Gon's were born of dragons breath, and carry with them the curse laid upon the dragons themselves by the gods." Which it could maybe mean that they have a strength buff or something along the lines of them being able to be a tank? Im not sure but, im just reading into the stuff that maybe put a image on the race.

Jin's lore says "The Jin's have the capability to master anything they put their minds to and will stop at nothing to complete a task. Their determination is clearly without equal. This gives them great advantages when training in the combat arts of Kung-Fu and blade mastery. The Jin are very opened minded and strongly inclined to justice and thus they spend their days assisting others, helping them deal with their hardships and miseries." Which it could mean they will be capable at being any class, as well as they may get an assist with kung fu and blade mastery....

Though this is just speculation... It make sense getting the racial from the lore.

I think this "trait"s mean appearance nor psychical status from race description or race characteristic.
In other word, it is what we discuss in other thread on Lyn destroyer.
Right??

Edited
Thanks Arec for detail explanation. My poor engrish can't explain that well.

How would skills be based on appearance?
He said that it each of the races playstyle would be different.

i was hooked to Jin since Gstar 2009, so my FM will be one.

ofc that decision is made of pure appeal of the Jin, differences of races that influence battle might make me think about it again.

but for now, the race-example female Jin of 2009 trailer (black hair BM, together with white hair male BM) seriously looks like my kind of girl  man, she really does =P

I can't decide between making a Jin or a Gon for my Force Master.

My decision really will depend on how they both look in-game, but either way my character's gonna be female that's for sure.

Having seen all the videos and screenshots from G-Star I'm set on either Kun or Gon Female, maybe leaning towards Gon more at the moment - gotta love those curves. :hehe:

Can someone tell me what's the race of the female FM in the 2009 trailer around 9:00 minutes?

She looks like a Gon, but I'm not so sure anymore.

My choice lies with the Jin. I pretty much like their appearances and I don't care of racials when choosing my characters, I care about visuals. I'm not there to try to be the best at any cost, I'm there to have fun meaning I don't think I would have fun if I was playing a race that wasn't appealing to me.

I'll probably be a Kun, though apparently unlike alot of you I do care what the racial's are.....the problem is that I would play male if I could, but they alway's gender lock the very race I want to use.
Woe is me.
