I surprised no one has started an "Other Games" topic about Bungie's next game. Looks promising and has some artistic influences from Halo and star wars, looks interesting none the less I just hope you can play from 3rd or a 1st person perspective like how FireFall lets you switch between the two views.

Looks interesting. Since I have a PS3, I've never played Halo so I don't know if I'd be any good at a multi-player FPS.

I believe they were not considering PC but they changed there mind. But it will prolly end up a console port so here is hoping it's a decent port

Going forth, I believe we'll be seeing decent to very good ports, back and forth between PC and consoles, given how consoles will be essentially stripped/locked down PC's with nearly identical architecture from here on. This is, however, graphically. I am not talking about FOV (Which will always be higher on PC) nor customization (Which is always more broad on PC). Developers could potentially limit the two above (Which would really irk me to no end; specially the FOV part).
However, in 2+ years... things may go back to how they were between 2005-2012 (Don't quote me here; I am hoping this isn't the case!).

I think graphically, things won't really move all that much more forwards. It'll be the same as usual, where PC > console as far as power output goes for graphics, but it won't be a dramatic difference. (See PC w/DX11+Massive VRAM space for massive textures and consoles w/DX9+Very limited VRAM preventing higher resolution textures; this is the current, since 2006 but it's set to change drastically now).
Likewise, the whole first party licensing thing, will also be diminished, where development priority is console > PC (It might be the other way around when you think about it).

Still...
I am very curious about Destiny.
It seems to have all of the things Firefall has, with a more polished environment/back story. And believe me, I love Firefall as it is.

I like the look of this! I'm a sony kid so I'll be getting a PS4 eventually.

I'm glad Bungie are trying something new for their next project. If I remember correctly, it's an FPS but in an on-going world. You customise your character, weapons, etc, etc. Pretty much FPS meets MMO. And I'm sure, most of us are MMO fanatics! To think the guys behind Halo are behind such a concept is very exciting.

In terms of consoles, I've always been more of a fan of PS than xbox, so I'm excited to see the PS4 preview

I'll also be getting a PS4 ............... eventually. Probably not when they first come out though. Maybe a year or so later.
