Hello, I'm new to speaking out is this community but have been watching you all for a long time(creepy huh). My old laptop just won't cut it from my experiences with Rift, Star Wars the old Republic, Tera and even Champions online. I want a new gaming computer before B&S is released in the states. I have read that in general a gaming rig(desktop) is the way to go but I know next to nothing about building a PC. I was interested in the Razer Edge Pro gaming tablet because it seems easy to grasp and was curious about the opinion of those I will be battling alongside and against in this game. The systems stats are below.

Intel Core i7 Dual core w/ Hyper Threading Base 1.9GHz / Turbo 3.0GHz
Memory 8GB DDR3 (2x4GB 1600MHz)
Video Intel HD4000 (DX11)
NVIDIA GT 640M LE (2GB DDR3, Optimus Technology)
Display 10.1” (IPS, 1366x768)
Multi-touch HD display
Operating System Windows 8
Storage 128/256GB SSD (SATA-III)#
Network Intel WLAN (802.11b/g/n + BT4)
Others Stereo speakers
Codec supports 7.1 (via HDMI)
HD Webcam (front-facing, 2MP)
Array microphones
Dolby Home Theater v4
USB 3.0 x1 (green, SuperSpeed)
Audio jack (3.5mm, 4-pole, stereo out / mic in)

Well what do you think.

I can say one word
Expensive ):
Building a computer isn't extremely hard, I can tell you. First time I've built my computer, it took me about 4 hours lol. It's really worth it however :]
I kind of don't recommend Razer edge, since its battery life isn't too long, and you'll probably have to plug it somewhere to play blade and soul for over an hour. So it really wouldn't make any sense to buy it over a desktop x_x
And I doubt that you can max out BnS with that gt640m either.
It looks really nice though.

It'll play it at medium at it's native resolution. I'd highly advise against even considering it though. Everything Razer that isn't their deathadder, naga and blackwidow, is overpriced trash.

well, at those specs but at $1300 dollars, your paying significant premiums on both the brand name and it's compact size.

for the exact same price, you could get this: http://www.digitalst...rice=%241%2C299

which has a stronger vid card, lots more HD space, and perhaps most importantly, is easily upgraded later.

That said, Neither of those is going to be as cost effective as a build-it-yourself, it can't since for a pre-built our paying for labor even if you aren't paying for brand name, and in both cases you will be.

As for knowing next to nothing about building one, i can tell you the absence of knowledge is scarier than any aspect of building a PC, The only tool you will need is a Philips head screwdriver, everything about PC components nowadays is intended to plug in and/or snap in place. The biggest worry in there is mounting a CPU and all you gotta do there is be gentle and make sure the chip lines up with the socket when you're putting it in. Most labor intensive would be attaching a motherboard to the case, and that's just a few screws. The rest is sliding parts into slots and plugging in cables, and one more screw to hold the vid card in place.

Building a computer sounds a lot more intimidating than it actually is cause people still think of it as welding circuits or something very skilled, but the reality of it is much closer to legos that could break from static shocks.

"10.1”" screen

"Accessories sold separately (Gamepad Controllers, Keyboard Dock, Docking Station)"

My advice is: Build your own Desktop PC from scratch.

I can play UT3 at maxed setting with 32 online players i don't really see what the problem with B&S,with my 5 year old computer

If you wanted to try B&S setting then try UT3 1st unless you can't wait to try it.

Facts about forum...
Someone will correct you over a trivial grammatical error, and it's usually because they're not intelligent enough to actually come up with a smart argument.
All the class are overpowered except the one you using.

geez its just a game have fun man...

You dont really need to build a pc. There are cheaper alternatives out there. As far as gaming goes, an i5 CPU is more than sufficient. Refer to Fatal's post for info and suggestions: http://www.bladeands...ul/page__st__20

You can always build something better on any budget as long as you're willing to build.
