One thing that could help Blade and Soul catapult in popularity in the west is a balanced pvp system Blade and Soul could be a contender in E-Sports

I go back to a point I made awhile ago and people here didn't see the importance of class damage output being something to localize correctly, maybe because you aren't into pvp but class damage output is HUGE. People WILL stop playing the game if it's not done correctly. Diablo 3 could've been another success story in PRO gaming but i think it was canceled.
There's not many titles out in E-sports land besides League of Legends, Starcraft and whatever else. From what I saw Blade and Soul has the makings of a contender in competitive E-sports , they just need to get the damage output done correctly, add leagues and doboks for both casual and competitive players and it would also have a reward system but the casual and competitive would be split.
This idea will broaden the game, not everyone is into PVP but it's a huge market here that will have both PVE and PVP players enjoying the game.
This needs to be done right, it can be big

Lets go Blade and Soul!

I know about that one, but I didn't really give it as an example because of the whole extreme stigma against F2P here. Plus it's a 2D sidescroller that's more along the lines of a fighting game than BnS is, to be honest, and it's pretty unbalanced :/'' I don't really see DFO's PVP as particularly great.

The only mmorpg game that I know, in which e-sport worked fine was Ragnarok Online.
But it worked only fine because of the aerial perspective.
MMO-RPGs today and E-sport doesn't suit each other and isn't possible in my opinion.
But a GOOD PvP system should be possible

NCsoft would have to add a lot more pvp content and balance sweeps before Blade and Soul would even stand a chance. Of course this would most likely come at the cost of PvE focused content, and therefore you'd probably upset the majority of the player base. Not to mention all the other problems that come from mmorpg e-sport balancing, like class changes from PvE to PvP adversely effecting one another, and PvE to PvP gear crossovers, ect.

as long as they don't sac the PvE for PvP or combine the PvE with PvP (like adding forced entry Free PK areas or combining the story with PvP quest or some bull sh*t like that), I'm all good.

I think it can, with MMOs becoming more f2p lately something else needs to help the game generate attention and income. A diverse audience is the key

Lets go Blade and Soul!

E-Sport? BWAHAAHHAHAHAHAH No.
Blade and Soul is more PvE than PvP. E-sports generally stem from PvP.

Besides Arena there are no PK areas?
