I had this idea earlier: an initiation station where you can create your character, name it and fully customize it and/or then export it as a preset (possible now in-game). After you get to the creation screen you just apply it and you're done
They can integrate it in their official website as a Flash app or whatever they want or create a downloadable program with all the login and creation screens, just like the game but without the "play" button.
It's a simple idea to keep us busy while we're waiting for the game's betas and release. This way we'll have enough time to create the perfect character and tweak its appearance as we like. What do you think?

I....actually really like this idea :D But if this were to happen, would it take up some of TBL's time that could be used to make updates for BnS etc...? Unless there were some programmers with nothing else to do

They could just take the client as it is and cut out everything except the login screen and character creation screen. They have nothing to do now anyway, except destroying the game to "adapt it to the western style".

I imagine they have to work on content patches and stuff.

By now they should have already split into teams: one to keep the game running in KR and one working on the western release. The keyword here is "should". if they did so, we have a hope, if they didn't we have two possibilities: they are all but few working on the release which is great, or they're not working on it which is... well, not so great.

Would be pretty cool indeed, but don't think is gonna happen and well .. is better that 100% of they focus is on getting the game ready to beta / release.

I actually hope there's not gonna be any beta 'till this summer 'cause I want to pass at maths if you know what I mean, while just "playing" with my charcter would leave me enough time.

No need, The caracter customaztion is part of the expierence.
I wait till the beta or in case I have to miss out the beta, the final release.

Becus when I made him or her, I wana play too. Now I have to wait and just drool over de character.

Creating your character beforehand is not mandatory now come back and give us a positive vote to help our dreams come true or else

A benchmark test like Lost planet 2 and PSO2 had or the imitation station like Saints row 3 had would be cool.

before the game launched Sega released a character creator bench mark for Phantasy Star Online 2, it had all the default options for character creation and a benchmark test to see how well your PC would do at different settings depending on the settings you chose.

I agree with this idea. Currently I'm playing on korean servers so I can make my own character already.. however.. I'm not sure if by saving the current character files that I've saved onto the english client files once it comes out will have the same effect.. I mean once the english version is out I want to already have my exact same character. I want to make my character appearance as fast as possible lol.
Anyone knows if this will work or not?

Well .. you could all the time take a picture of you char and save it to when you need it.
Or you could take a picture of your char inside the character creation so you can see where you have put the sliders at etc and place them at the same place when west version gets out.
I do that when i'm in a beta and wanna keep my char look for release.

Don't think placing your char file from the k version into the english version will help, it might .. but no idea.

Don't really think character creation can keep you busy for that long lol, but i know what you mean.
