LOL, I don't think she is addicted to the Lyn of Blade & Soul as much as she is just a big netizen. Blade & Soul is just another way for her to express herself and keep connect with her friends online. she has a PlayNC profile with photos, she video chats with people, and she posts. that's kind of things isn't uncommon in South Korean or Japanese culture, girls are just as serious bout gaming in Asia as boys are. Westerners may laugh at her and find her odd but as long as she is having fun and not selling herself out or hurting anyone, *high five and a hug * to her. besides, she is young and cute and is enjoying blade & soul so that's probably why they found her and put her into a special episode of whatever show that is.

It's cultural I guess. For us in the west this would be an excess, whilst in the east this could be considered normal for her social group.

its a little bit of both, i would say. i used to put cat ears on and nyan over voice chat with my guild mates in FF11 too so i don't find her behavior odd in the least. i think they found her playNC account and that she plays blade & soul. they probably noticed her cute pictures and all her posts afterwards and decided to do a special show on her, its not any different then G4 doing a special interview or a show on some professional gamers or something like that. just so happens MMO pc games are a big deal in South Korea so she fits right into the right spot and there she is. besides, what's there not to like or pay attention to? A dressed up cute girl with cat ears playing Blade & Soul and nyan-ing over voice chat, don't lie. you boys love that kind of thing, its cute. ^_^

Don't get the wrong idea, online gaming is still sparsely explored by females, and much less so in asian countries IMO.

She's just a big fan of B&S. She's fit and acts normal. The ritual is funny and cute but I don't see it as addicted. I can imagine the thousands of Call of Duty fans who do all sorts of stuff before playing COD and cursing each other out in chat.

i totally agree with that statement. i used to wear cat ears and nyan a lot while playing Final Fantasy XI, doesn't make me addicted or crazy, i just wanted to have some fun.
