Blade & Soul

  1. Not what I expected to see as far as the Dojo goes. As for NCSOFT however, some of us saw it coming miles away but that's NCSOFT for ya. It was never about winning, Ghastly, but more about getting NCSOFT not to repeat past mistakes. I suppose it was expecting too much. Wish your optimistic views had come true instead. It's a real shame. B&S could have easily become one, if not the #1 MMO in the market. Easily. But when you don't treat your player base proper, this is always the result. Good times regardless, a lot of great memories on these old forums.
  2. Your girl made a mistake. But lets not pretend these trap whispers is why the game is bleeding it's player base at the rate that it is. As for these forums, well, I can't speak for everybody but once I quit a game, I rarely go back to forums. These ones I still visit but like, once a month if that. So no point in having a fancy profile or avatar. Then there is this new layout that I still can't get into. I am not sure how we went from a near perfect layout to this. Anyway, keep communicating with NCSOFT, maybe they'll help eventually. Personally, though, I wouldn't hold my breath. It is NCSOFT after all.
  3. Revelation 天谕 Online

Lol, I think Archeage is trying to be funny. https://www.archeagegame.com/en/revelation/
  4. Feedback on forum update

This "new" update feels like a "downgrade" in everyway I can think of, TBH. Starting with the removal of the status update box. Menus, links, etc now feel scattered and without direction. But maybe that's just me.
  5. Revelation 天谕 Online

Shaping to be interesting but after all of these shameful asian designed MMO, I'll wait to see where it goes before even touching it. Sick and tired of consistently mindless grinding for gear and other nonsense.
  6. Reasons people quit.

Frankly, yall need to move on. NCSOFT had six years to get their shit together before NA/EU release and didn't. They're not going to magically fix this mess unless they not only redo the entire game but also their own internal affairs/management, etc. Better luck with the sequel/prequel/next game. If that ever happens.
  7. Some things on my mind.

There is a huge list of things I could mention but I think the biggest factor for me, personally is the fact that there is no end in sight to the grind for gear mill and I am now used to systems that revolve around learning fights and becoming better, rather than prioritize on gear. I am obviously talking about the GW2 system. Once you have ascended or legendary gear, you're f!cking done with that grind shit and can focus on vanity items like skins or achievements or PVP or raiding or anything else the game has to offer -- without ANY gear grinding distraction. In most Korean MMO, they're still living in the days of WOW, where gear is the #1 priority if you want to experience the rest of the content. FFXIV fell in that sinkhole, too and now TOS is headed that way, too. Dark times I live in and so many of you seem to embrace this shit. Maybe I've just done it too many times and I am sick of it. So to answer your question, the game is NOT hard at all. It's just designed around a system I find outdated and overall a shitty system. To add salt to the wound, the game is also technically poorly designed, to the point most content is best experienced in small groups of 4-6, rather to what an MMO should be (20+).
  8. I doubt NCSOFT would close servers in that time frame. I mean, Lineage II (Launched in 2003) is still a thing and so is the original Guild Wars (Launched in 2005). You should be more concerned with for how long will you hold interest in the grind, than the game's availability, TBH. The grind is what kills and it only kills players.
  9. This. Using FXAA and then applying lumasharpening for instance, which is something very common in SweetFX users, doesn't tax much if at all. If you're using a 1440P resolution monitor or higher, like me, the jagged edges disappear completely with something as simple as that. But in the process, you lose (and gain) details elsewhere. But again, it does look good. Keep up the good work.
  10. Well, a GTX *60 is what I consider average/somewhat at the edge of below average. What I consider standard for gaming would be GTX *70 or AMD equivalent and for above and beyond standard GTX *80 or *90. I used all of the settings you have (I think more if you add AO and a few other things) in GW2 and FFXIV on a GTX 780 and the FPS loss was around 2-5. For B&S I used less flashy effects, because the game is faster paced and these things can distract while you try to dodge or block, etc. But that's my take on that.
  11. It's just reshade. You can get similar results with sweetfx and the performance loss is pretty minimal when using these two tools, unless you're using a GPU from the ice age or you're trying to apply it to a game like Crysis 3 or something. Most of the taxing elements in B&S attack the CPU; not the GPU. So anyone with a decent or average GPU won't notice much if any performance loss.
  12. Letter from producer.

More content is always good. More grinding is always bad. 'Cause fuck grinding shit. TBH even with this roadmap, I would rather play a vanilla server capped at Lv 45. After the Lv 45 content, I am no longer feeling the game. It's been extremely difficult to log on for more than a few minutes without passing out of boredom.
  13. Tree Of Savior (Project R1)

For those of you out of the loop, this is the developer's blog with the optimization they have done (Being applied tonight with maintenance). If what they have listed is accurate, then performance is going to more than double and even triple in some cases. https://treeofsavior.com/news/?n=438
  14. Tree Of Savior (Project R1)

http://www.pcgamer.com/tree-of-savior-review/ Roasted. Though most of it is accurate.
  15. Is BnS Reduced to OWPvP and PvE now?

I know that's your opinion and not to be that guy, though I am totally going to be that guy. The PVP side of things actually provides equal and sometimes greater revenue to the parent company of the game. Just not in the way that you expect it. I am talking about publicity. Have you seen how many people watch PVP live streams? A lot more than I ever imagined in the old days of MMO. Can you say the same for PVE content? Not really, unless we're talking about a "world first" kill, which is then forgotten until the next "challenging" content comes out 3+ months later. This is one of many aspects where NCSOFT is missing opportunity. Unfortunately, there is many things that I can think of that sadly won't allow this game to flourish in the way it could. You can start with just how incredibly lazy Team Bloodlust has been as of late and take it all the way to the engine of choice and keep on going to the part where their main artist has been long gone for a while now, etc. The top selling point of this game that you mentioned is right on the money, though. This game has a very unique artstyle, with a fast paced and fun combat system.
