Head Start for founder's pack owners will begin at 10:00am PST on January 15th, 2016, and name reservations for Disciple and Master pack owners will begin on January 11th, 2016. The game has already been officially released in the following regions: Korea: June 30, 2012

      <a name="4">Has Beta Testing started?</a> Yes. CBT 1: Oct 29, 10am PDT - Nov 2, 10pm PDT [NA server only]* CBT 2: Nov 13, 10am PDT - Nov 16, 10pm PDT [NA/EU]** CBT 3: Nov 24, 10am PDT - Nov 30, 10pm PDT [NA/EU]** CBT 4: Dec 11, 10am PDT - Dec 14, 10pm PDT (English/French/German)[NA/EU]** CBT 5: Dec 18, 10am PDT - Dec 21, 10pm PDT (English/French/German)[NA/EU]** *NA servers will only support English. **EU servers will support English, French, and German; except on CBTs 1, 2, & 3. <a name="5">What type of pay model will Blade & Soul use?</a> Blade & Soul has been announced as a F2P (free-to-play) title for the West and will have no content limitations. They have also stated that the game will not be "pay-to-win". <a name="6">Will the Western clients be censored?</a> No. <a name="7">Where will the Western servers be located?</a> Blade & Soul's Western servers will be housed in the following location: North America: Dallas, Texas US
      Europe: Frankfurt, Germany.
      <a name="8">Will there be Oceanic/SEA servers?</a> There are currently no plans to support Oceanic/SEA servers. However, NCSOFT has stated that if the community shows enough interest they will reconsider. A petition has been created for NCSOFT to reconsider. <a name="9">Will my characters from the other regions be transferable to the Western versions?</a> No. Transferring accounts is not possible, but transferring the physical appearance of your character from other versions is possible through the profile screenshot function in Character Creation. <a name="10">Will the Western version be region blocked?</a> There are currently no plans for region blocking. <a name="11">What are the playable races?</a> Jin, Gon, Yun, Lyn. Click here for more information. <a name="12">Why did they change the name of the Kun race to Yun for the Western release?</a> In North America, the word "Kun" closely resembles a derogatory racial slur. <a name="13">What are the playable classes?</a> There are currently six confirmed playable classes for the Western versions. The "Warlock" class can be found in the KR, CN, JP and TW clients but have yet to be confirmed for the North American and European release.

      Yun: Blade Master, Force Master and Kung Fu Master
      <a name="15">What will be the Western versions initial level cap?</a> The initial level cap on release will be 45. <a name="16">Will there be a vigor/fatigue system the the Western versions?</a> No. <a name="17">What systems will this game be released on?</a> Blade & Soul will be released for Windows PC. <a name="18">What are the required PC specs for Blade & Soul?</a> Below are the PC specs taken from Blade & Soul's Korean client.   1. Can you believe, more than six whole years have passed since you joined this forum. Remember the anticipation for this games release? It's kind of funny how the games community was stronger before the game came out and very quickly seemed to fall apart after launch.. I read Mushi's comment below; I shed a tear. *moment of silence*

  5. Good to hear you're enjoying the show. For many the art-style is actually what puts people off, though for me it's an interesting change and something unique. While Baki is a little less known than Tenjou tenge, both are quite known as they are considered to be among the better 'martial arts' anime. So yeah :3 - Lith. ...Suggestive.
  6. Now, I've restarted this game a few times over the course of my "international playthroughs" (read: beta's and CN version) And this time - no especially this time - I will read the quest stuff. One of the things I like most about an MMO is its lore. This being an oriental thing, a path not overly tread in the past, makes it all the more interesting to me. I love exploration and story-driven content, so yes: I will enjoy reading - and finally understanding - the game's "brabbling". - Lith. ...Story-teller.
  7. I can't help but feel you are deliberately trying to look what someone else might have. At that it seems you are no longer looking at weapon-resources, but at the cash-shop in general. It's a big source of income for the company behind the game, so a cash-shop will always be there, there's no getting around that. Secondly: I don't think it's the right mindset to worry about what others have, rather it would be a much better mindset to focus on what you have. There will be plenty of people who will not resort to the cashshop. You will no doubt run into these people. Have a good time with them, I say. At no point will you be forced to work together with cash-shoppers, and at no point will the game become so difficult, that only a party of cash-shop investors can beat a certain <insert thing>. Like I stated before: I like the thought of cash-trade = no, grind-trade = yes (the latter has been around since the dawn of MMO and it's a cornerstone of the sense of community and trade, so that will not go away. Ever) Then, you make it sound as though you can buy everything in the world in the cash-shop. Now I'm not even sure you can buy the high-end mats in the cashshop (or mats at all, for that matter) Save for premium membership, which could be considered an "edge" depending on how you look at it, the cash-shop stuff is "cosmetical". You buy an outfit, for example, that only alters your looks, not your stats. You might be insanely jealous of that outfit (could happen, you know) then you've got 3 options: - Buy it as well - Do quests / run a dungeon and get a different outfit that's also very cool - Let it go (let it goooo!) SO...don't let what others might do get in the way of your sense of adventure and accomplishment :] - Lith. ...Trader.
  8. Hmm, I understand where you're coming from. I personally like the idea that "mats" found in-game are tradable, and bought mats aren't tradable, that said there are always people that want to take this route. Casual players who don't have the time / want to spend the time grinding for the necessary components, and end up having to resort to the market-place, because they do need the mats. There has to be a supply (this could be offered by NC, but then you're locking the economy in a fixed state, which is not all that desirable methinks) and yeah, people will likely buy the mats with money and get a large income by selling this stuff on the AH. That said, though: 1) everyone can take advantage of this 2) "players who spend hundred" I know what you mean when you say this, but even then...there aren't a whole lot of players who pump vast amounts of money into a cash-store 3) The main outcome is that players end up with large sums of in-game money. It's far from ideal, but it's not the end of the world either, as it's not only cash that's needed to upgraded one's character That said, these arguments aren't the most solid ones, and as I said: I enjoy the thought of keeping a barrier between 'farmed' mats and 'bought' mats, but I fear what would happen with the player-base and economy of this were to be pushed through... - Lith. ...Nosegrind?
  9. In all honesty, it doesn't matter what game you play (read: what game I play) it doesn't offer the amount of depth and immersion I had hoped to get out of it. It stresses you eyes a bit at first, and once you get used it's quite interesting...for a while. That said: the 3D effect isn't as spectacular as people make it out to be, the nubs on the "legs" of the glasses press to your temple and it really starts to hurt after a while (all the more so if you wear a headset or something) Generally, these glasses cause fatigue after some time, and with a reaction-based title like B&S, I don't think it's the best of combinations. Of course, this is simply one fool's opinion and you are more than welcome to put this to the test yourself, but I don't think it is something you will be combining often (that is: the game and the glasses) Plus you need a 3D-ready monitor and the IR-sensor as well. - Lith. ...Dimensional.
  10. Tenjou Tenge and Grappler Baki are quite known "out there". I understand you want underrated and relatively unfamiliar series to watch? If so, you might want to look at series that, at first glance, seem very a-typical in perhaps art-style, or story. Some suggestions: - Mononoke (not to be mistaken for Mononoke-hime) - Cat soup - EVE no jikan - Mushi-shi - Phantom: Requiem for the phantom and - Texhnolyze - Lith. ...Otaku.
  11. Wings.....feels so out of place in an oriental title like this. Pets more or less comes down to personal preference, though I have less than 0 interest in it. Wings...just seems like a bit of a stupid move, rly (IMO) - Lith. ...Wing-chun?

  13. Looking at it logically I do think this is more an action they took for themselves, so to speak. Like some of you already pointed out, I do think it's a sort of pre-emptive strike against name-hoarding, bots, and the likes. Whether this is the best course of action is not something I'll speculate, but 2 slots - in the beginning at least - should be...sufficient. Don't see many people leveling more than 2 characters at the same time. Most put a lot of time in one and then move to the next. And those that plan to go all the way with more than 2 chars are the types that are likely to invest money in this game in the first place. So I will observe how this plays out from my comfy mountain-top. - Lith. ...Speculative.
  14. Well I took a moment to read this model and, if anything, I am happy they properly explained the how and what of the model. I do appreciate them updating me on the ins and outs. Overall I can agree with this, in fact...there was no other model they really could have taken, considering the time it took for this to come out --> relatively few people would likely be willing to go for a B2P model, for example (though I prefer that model above anything else) I do appreciate their promise for "no pay-2-win" but some things, like Inventory Space, is just something I want from the get-go. I remember having to juggle insanely much in the CN version, since I'm a bit of a pack-rat. I won't lie, I keep things with the "I might need it later" phrase stuck in my head. Walking into this wall once again is something that does kind of get to me. Aside from that, I was hoping premium stuff would stay away, but I guess they need some way to bring in the cash, and this is the easiest way to do it. I would like to know prices, at this point. I recall Prem. being somehwat pricey in CN, I recall doboks being very pricey (considering the fact that you were likely to rent it for 7-30 days. When I spend money on something, I want it. No discussion) Founder's packs: Nice touch. I'm almost tempted to see if I can't get my hands on one. I'm commited at this point, and might as well celebrate this legendary occasion. SO I guess that at this point I want to know how much I am to pay for certain items. And will doboks be permanent or not? And if not --> are life-time versions as expensive as in the CN model?
