Head Start for founder's pack owners will begin at 10:00am PST on January 15th, 2016, and name reservations for Disciple and Master pack owners will begin on January 11th, 2016.       <a name="8">Will there be Oceanic/SEA servers?</a> There are currently no plans to support Oceanic/SEA servers. However, NCSOFT has stated that if the community shows enough interest they will reconsider. A petition has been created for NCSOFT to reconsider. <a name="9">Will my characters from the other regions be transferable to the Western versions?</a> No. Transferring accounts is not possible, but transferring the physical appearance of your character from other versions is possible through the profile screenshot function in Character Creation. <a name="10">Will the Western version be region blocked?</a> There are currently no plans for region blocking. <a name="11">What are the playable races?</a> Jin, Gon, Yun, Lyn. Click here for more information. <a name="12">Why did they change the name of the Kun race to Yun for the Western release?</a> In North America, the word "Kun" closely resembles a derogatory racial slur. <a name="13">What are the playable classes?</a> There are currently six confirmed playable classes for the Western versions. The "Warlock" class can be found in the KR, CN, JP and TW clients but have yet to be confirmed for the North American and European release.

  1. I only care about this stuff because I am fucking sick and tired of people shitting on BD and every single one of you people can go fuck yourselves. It's bad enough when you're wrong. When you're willfully spreading misinformation and giving people a hard time based on outdated, anecdotal bullshit, I can't respect any of that. Sick of that shit. Fuck 'em all.

  3. #1: Shin Gong. Nails the sexy scholarly look, and her story is pretty funny to boot. Also cheats and wears a male-only hairstyle, but apparently NCSoft allowed it. (Seriously, why is that hairstyle male-exclusive?) And while I'm at it, we have a severe lack of story-relevant female Lyn, so I'll take what I can damn well get! #2: Poharan.   4. Welp. Everything was running just fine until today too. Fuck Gameguard, and fuck the shitty company behind it, and fuck NCSoft for going with this useless piece of shit "software". No excuses. Can't play the bloody game through absolutely no fault of my own. Thanks a lot for nothing.
  5. Note that every class also has the benefit of HM skills and similar equipment on the KR servers. Personally, I think all claims of weak BD PvE DPS are bunk in the first place, so this sort of talk has no effect on me. I still have my experience of being the tank in 9/10 dungeons (on a class that is NOT DESIGNED FOR TANKING) telling me that, hey, I hit pretty fucking hard, you know. In fact, I'd love to see someone try to pull aggro from me with similar gear on a non-taunt build. Just try it and see.
  6. Especially when nobody actually bothers timing these things out and completely ignores the complexities of chi management, attack speeds, and all the other untangibles that aren't explicitly listed on the skill pages...
  7. Why do people keep repeating this bullshit? Your cat replaces your i-frames. You can interrupt ANY COMBO so long as you don't moronically waste your CC abilities during their i-frames. The only time this doesn't work is when the enemy has a lot of AoE CC (see: KFM, Des). You can literally shut down any combo your opponent tries to start. It's utter madness. It's the absolute worst fucking thing trying to combo a summoner when they save their 2 for after I use blade draw and then force me to get out of draw stance to defend against cat CC. There is literally no way I can win that matchup as they've already nullified the grand majority of my damage output. Fuck this class. We have a lot of defense, but our CC is actually lower than most other classes besides Destroyer. I-frame our stun and pentaslash and our damage output pretty much goes down the toilet. Even our longest combo doesn't 100 -> 0, it's pathetic. KFM and Destroyer shit all over us in that regard.
  8. On this, I'm with Rhy. People just need to learn how to tank. There's no excuse for a KFM or BM not holding aggro (and especially no excuse for them not being the one to pull - seriously wtf, why am I always the one pulling? I AM NOT A TANK). If they refuse to tank, whatever, no biggie, I'll just keep on DPSing. As it turns out, in 99/100 PUGs I end up being the tank anyway, so fuck it. Let it happen. Just wanna get my dailies done anyway.
  9. I have no idea what's wrong with BD in KR. Over here, BD DPS is bonkers. Nuts. Completely out of whack. Higher than literally every other class bar FM (FM OP yo). As in, FM is the ONLY non-tank class that's pulled aggro from me on anything resembling a regular basis. Occasionally (VERY occasionally) an assassin gets it. NEVER seen a destro pull aggro on me. Not once since launch. Either all destros are bad or people just play up their potential way too much. (Do note that Destros do no damage during their grab, in stark contrast to BD which does massive damage instead.) Of course, I've also never had a KFM tank for some reason, so maybe everyone I've run into IS just plain bad. Sigh. The grab hitbox is annoying, but thankfully is only a problem with very specific enemies (*cough* spiders *coughcough*), which I imagine is also the reason they haven't bothered to fix it. Most bosses get lifted above the BD so that's not an issue. It may be that BD usefulness drops off with level. Right now, though, I just have absolutely no clue where people are coming from on this. I feel like BD is pretty OP if anything.
  10. Don't get me wrong, that's not bad. But our AoE isn't even tied to a cd. It's literally infinitely spammable. Just a constant non-stop barrage of AoE damage. Singing Lark and Flicker can't even compare. Even throwing in Lightning Rod only makes it okay, not great (fun fact: Rolling Typhoon does as much damage instantly as Lightning Rod does over its entire duration). And our Lightning Draw is superior as well, particularly since our Flash Step is only limited by the amount of Lightning Focus and isn't limited to 3 in a row (with the BM version still being conditional on uninterrupted crits, I may add). BD AoE is, quite simply, kind of ridiculous. You could even say it's something of a specialty for the class.
  11. Man, I am tired of this "BD DPS is meh" meme. Lightning Soul BD is absolutely top-tier in terms of raw DPS. The only problems with it are that A. you can ONLY use your q/e and SS for dodging boss AoEs while using it, and B. it's quite latency-dependent (but then again, most DPS rotations in PvE are). With Wind Soul we also have quite good AoE damage. That plus daze-specced dual strike and anklebiter lets us wipe out large piles of trash mobs rather quickly. Good luck doing that with a BM. I don't even have an attack diamond and I STILL pull aggro in most every party I've been in. I'm not even supposed to pull aggro - we're not a tank class, after all. But it still happens. Only times a non-tank has pulled aggro from me are FMs who also happen to out-gear me and occasionally assassins who are also in the same boat... while using Wind Soul. Never while using Lightning Soul. Seriously, good luck trying to pull aggro from me while I'm using Lightning Soul! If it happens, it's probably because I made a mistake somewhere tanking the boss (which, y'know, we're not designed for) and lost DPS. It's hilarious how quickly I can take aggro from a boss in-progress during 24-mans. Doesn't even matter if it was already at half HP when I got there. Fun times!
  12. I'm a TX player so I have a natural latency advantage, but from my experience I regularly top the charts in DPS in every party I've been in. Maybe this changes at level 50, but for right now I think BD is in a pretty solid position.
  13. I confess, I really hate using the stun -> sleep method because it just feels so incredibly cheesy (especially since a big part of the strategy is just waiting for the timer). I've switched to a more offense-focused strategy that sticks close to the summoner while putting a lot of pressure on the pet, seems to be working for me. But maybe I've just been playing some bad summoners lately.
  14. We have a number of bad matchups atm (the worst being both ranged classes IMO - I feel completely helpless against a good FM or Summoner). Our burst combo, while good when we can get it off, is entirely too predictable and dependent upon baiting the enemy's tab beforehand (which a smart opponent will NEVER allow). This wouldn't be such an issue if we just had the Sunder HM skill that allows crits on KD (which would allow a different damage combo and to mind game the opponent), but as it is, we're pretty much just fishing for air combos and the small bits of lightning flash we can sneak in every now and then. As far as classes go: KFM is genuinely kinda OP with all the i-frames and ridiculous number of CC abilities. There's a reason the highest bracket has so many of them. (After learning the matchup, however, I admit that this is one of the better ones to get matched against for me.) Destroyer is destroyer. To put it simply, they've always been a solid class and probably always will be. In my experience, we're at a noticeable disadvantage in this matchup, particularly as they have so many ways to get around or ignore our spin. A diamond FM will never lose to a BD. Dead serious. Watch Jaesung play his FM some time, shit's disgusting. Thankfully, the only FMs who know what they're doing are all the way at or near diamond. BMs and Assassins are a mixed bag for me (especially with there being so few skilled BMs around nowadays). Not sure where I stand on those two. (But Assassin body swap can burn in hell!) Everyone knows about summoner by now, I hope. Still not sure how to fight against them after the buff. I'm not sure about how exactly HM skills will affect us, as it's a very complicated calculation (especially due to every other class also getting their HM skills). However, the game is balanced around the assumption that we have those skills, so it should at least help a little bit. Mind you, I've never hit diamond (though I've gotten close a few times), so take all this with a grain of salt. Just my observations from a few dozen matches post-patch.
