Restoring a file from the Quarantine automatically registers a temporary path exclusion (in a "TemporaryPaths" registry key that’s invisible to the MSE interface). The restored file will no longer be monitored by MSE; and since MSE’s automatic exclusion for the restored file doesn’t show up in the “Excluded files and locations” settings or in the “Allowed items” list, there’s no easy way to immediately re-enable detection for the file – but when the automatic exclusion expires (after a couple of days), the ability to detect the file will be re-enabled, and running a Full Scan will return the file to the Quarantine. Love how Microsoft leaves out important information, as it literally takes so much extra text space. "This will also add a temporary allowance that Windows defender will not scan against this item, which will only last a couple days" I mean hell, there's no room for that on the tooltip at all is there. Oh wait, there's plenty of room for this text on the restore tooltip. Lazy Microsoft Key information there for someone that doesn't already know this. but hey, not enough worth writing about in Microsoft eyes. Nop I have spent the better part of a day trying to find information pertaining to this. Just to learn, what takes up literally less than a freaking line of text. Yes it's only useful information, used for rare occasions, but still. Anyhow, later today. I will see if I can try and re-create what happened. With me using the normal client and your updater starting. I've had Windows 10 drop drivers in the past. Reformatted and haven't had that problem since then. but if your program works fine for everybody else and I'm the only person, that had this problem. I'm starting to think one of my antivirus programs during the night, At some point in time. Falsely identified some system file and just automatically deleted it. and i Wake up, see Windows defender found something, and took care of it. and thought to myself, oh that's nice. I went on with my day. Or Windows 10 is just not shutting some programs down whenever I tell it to, even though it didn't show up on any programs running list. Or some stupid system behavior like that. if the program works, the way it works. There's something going on at my end Thanks for the help
in an effort not to hijack this thread, I made a new thread for the purpose Of trying to re-create and fix this problem, Apparently only I'm having. It is located here. But I need help with Windows defender and it's wonderful exempt functions First, before I can go about trying to re-create the problem.
"note this is a conversation from another thread so to not hijack it" okay so to try and re-create this problem happening, I have to exempt your program, now apparently I did it wrong. Hooray for me not looking up stuff and relying on Windows to tell me correct information. Never exempted anything before and I went to the quarantined items, and hit restore. Apparently a very stupid idea. Now, as you can see from the picture it makes absolutely no mention whatsoever that it completely removes said item from any further Windows defender detection. i had to look up that information myself after the program was not being registered as a threat. Yay it just says it may continue to run after not being quarantined. Go Microsoft for not tell me all the information I need to know, Would have did things a lot different if I had known that key bit of information But whenever I go to the allowed list, so Windows defender protects against this program again. so I can try and re-create the problem I was having with your program. It's not listed in the allowed programs list. In fact, no program is listed as being exempt. So does this mean that blade and soul buddy is exempt from being seen by Windows defender?, or does it mean that Clavior.G!cl is exempt?. Most importantly, where the hell do I go to get Windows defender to see this as a threat again. Especially if the real Clavior.G!cl is exempt from Windows defender. So I can try and re-create this problem. frustrated with Windows 10 and Microsoft for not telling me key information I know, this is not your problem, but I'm trying to get to where I can re-create what was happening with your program. And no, usually I'm not this stupid with computers, but this week has been something else. would go to Microsoft's webpage for support. With this program and not bother you. But I don't know if it would be a wise idea to have my problem with your exe. splattered all over Microsoft support site
Sorry hate to break it to you buddy, but no. your program was not minimized into my taskbar on the right bottom corner, it was not Minimize on the taskbar on the left, it was not running in the background, it was not listed in task manager with admin rights. It was not listed in control prompt tasklist. I have become paranoid with the 64-bit patch and game guard hiding itself. Therefore, I been keeping track of what's running. Your program was not running. So I don't know what to tell you bud. Anyway this is to suspicious, and what you're telling me completely contradicts what happened. No disrespect intended, just a heads up of what your program is doing. Only thing I can think of that might be the reason for this is if you coded your update program to run whenever it sees client.exe running, instead of blade and soul buddy.exe
So what is going on here, I started up the normal game client. Not your program. And in the middle of loading the game, I get. Windows defender has found potential threat and is removing it, name. a trojan Clavior.G!cl Now i Did not use your program, and did not start your program, and I did not tell your program to update. I did have automatic updates selected inside of your program. But I assumed that I would have to start your program for it to automatically update itself. Like most programs function Does Is it updating itself every time I start the game client, regardless if I use your program ? This Trojan by the way started to show up immediately after the client, got done checking the files. I close down the game, waited a minute, and went to open up the folder where your program files are, and immediately Windows defender tells me it caught the same thing again. A second time. A Trojan located from inside of your game files folder I did not have the game client running. Game guard was not running. I did not have your program running. So why am I having a Trojan being downloaded to my computer. If your program is supposedly not running? how does your program update itself, And when ? If it's not updating 100% of the time, regardless if you have your program open, you or we have a problem, in Some thing being downloaded when the client starts and is heading straight to your folder and if your program updates itself and downloads things regardless of whether I have started it or not, meaning your updater is running 100% 24 seven, I have a problem on my end now. I did not have any other programs running on my computer at the time this happened, I did not downloading anything. Nothing else program wise was running. And nothing else has been running for a good 20 minutes prior to this. Guessing someone has hijacked your auto update program and whenever it sees the client starts, it downloads This program.
When putting skin color on parts of an outfit that is not normally a skin color, how do you get it to recognize normal skin tones so it matches what the normal skin color The user has set, so whenever I use it, It's my skin color. whenever you use it, It's your skin color ? I would suppose I have to hex edit the outfit somewhere or something like that ?
