  1. Show off your character!

Forum Rules 1: You will not post hate speech, personal attacks or private information. 3: You will not post off-topic discussion or derail threads. Memes, macros and other unrelated content should be hidden with spoiler tags. 4: You will not create posts with the intention of flame-baiting, “circlejerking” or anything else that could be considered low-quality. Nothing more needs to be said.
  2. Show off your character!

Please be respectful to the people who took their time to post pictures of their characters here. While you were quite ambiguous not stating any names, your comment could have been far better. We already have a thread for this. Please refrain from asking people that post their pictures here to share their presets. One of the reasons I made this thread was so we could avoid this situation. If you really feel the need to have their preset, please PM the person themselves. It is far more respectful than asking on this thread. To any future posts: This is not the thread to post pictures of character/s you made OR showing off others' works made solely as a joke. While I do understand the attention you guys want to garner, please make your own separate thread.
  3. Show off your character!

I love your Jin! Originally I aimed for big eyes like that too but didn't work out for what I wanted. That 2nd Jin tho, I hope I never see one in NA server. :joss_stick: Love your Jin BM :adore: I tried for a Western/European look once, let's just say it didn't go well! Normally, I dislike changing the color of the sclera but I really like your sin despite that because the costume adds appeal to the look. Good job! Seeing as you're new here; I will say that talks of private servers is taboo in dojo. Your 1st Jin looks somewhat similar to mine (which I like). :embarrassed: Hmm. hard to give a real opinion without a picture of different lighting (preferably, a brighter one). Otherwise, the pink eyeshadow stands out too much, which slightly makes me understand why you might still change her. :surrender: HEY! I saw you hanging out in Jade Village in alpha! Your Gon stood out so much :embarrassed: @Mion & Rhys: Thanks for cheating! Needed more males on this thread. That Yun... recurring trend with Yun and sad faces. Every time I come across a black haired Yun, I take a peek
  4. Show off your character!

Please do! The main idea is to show off your character. To anyone else: Don't be afraid to comment! People would love to hear what you have to say about their characters. Don't go overboard though :sweats:
  5. The character creator is amazing, it takes a lot of effort to get the desired results. After spending around a week trying to get my character right in TW server (few months back), I perfected her in NA server thanks to the new undergarments. I really want to show off the before and after result. The reason behind this is due to one of my friends saying he preferred the Jin over Yun is because the presets for Yun look alien'ish. I have to agree, they kind of do and it will take a lot of effort to get an awesome looking Yun, though that's my personal opinion. 1st Attempt: After countless attempts, ending result: What character/s will you be using for NA/EU server? (show off your picture!) How long did you spend in character creator? What you liked about the character/s you made? Any words of advice to people making characters? (optional) A picture is worth 1000 words. Show us what you have to say! :embarrassed: P.S. Apologies if a similar thread has been made. I did search beforehand.
  6. Pfft. More like dodging the bullet during a live stream to not raise awareness. Same exact reason I don't see their stream featuring SeriousGamer.
  7. RIP Who cares about promises? Kappa Expect p2w when they realize 1/2 their customers gone.
  8. If you want to skip all of the story I will tell you this: Someone in alpha hit the level cap (45) in around 17 hours. Getting geared up is a different story.
  9. Ahh yes, finally. Someone who understood my wall of text. My savior.
  10. Looking at the big picture... As soon as the playerbase acknowledges there is an issue at hand; in this case where it favors players who pay monthly for a subscription for one of the its most appealing basic features, you will drive away players who simply don't want to pay. You will also drive away players who pay but don't want to be a subscriber (likely due to time constraints). At the end of the day, the wardrobe feature is just a Quality of Life issue or so specific individuals claim it to be. Going by this example, it justifies NCsoft's every right to put it under a paywall. :misdoubt: If we were to simplify everything to this degree (black and white), why hasn't NCsoft brazenly advertised this totally awesome quality of life feature in their streams and news updates when they talked about subscriptions and this feature being under the paywall? They are intentionally playing with fire and they know it. Now what are these players who don't want to pay for subscription complaining about? Let me make this clear first, no price has been stated for subscription. It would be great it if was 1 NCoin just like in alpha/beta, wouldn't it? No players would be complain about this. Now, with subscription we have 3 kinds of players: pays to play (shut up and take my money), one stop purchasers (buy's once, never again), free players. Now, lets look at the price for the (supposed) subscription. Standard P2P MMO $15 This is the price they used as an example in their streaming videos which I believe correlates to NCsoft's desired price for subscriptions. Lets look at this in a different direction. P2P players pay $15 subscription for a full MMO that is not behind paywalls. Every single subscription matters; no one is left out, it's the company's life and blood. Is this the case for NCsoft's Blade and Soul? Does the standard P2P MMO subscription of $15 sound reasonable to its playerbase and potential players? Now lets do some theory: When I was in alpha, the very first thing I did with my NCoins was testing to see how many Dragon Pouches I needed for a full inventory on my character. One receives 50 Dragon Pouches from Master Pack. Used all those also including the free pouches you get from surveys/story (around 5-8?), and bought around 30 more pouches. One pouch is 40 NCoin, and $1 USD is equivalent to 80 NCoin. 80 * 40 NCoin = 3200 NCoin which equates to $40 USD. Essentially, for a full inventory one needs approximately $40 USD and do note this is only for one single character and this only includes your characters inventory space. "What about you talking about? Just farm HM Coin. Problem Solved. Derp" Here's the reality: Hit Lv 45, the only HM Coins I received in game was from the Daily Roulette, which was hard to receive even with a subscription giving me 5 spins a day compared to 3 (non-sub). What was so hard about it? The RNG of the spins favoring lower numbers. To emphasize further, I got around 430 HM Coin at the end of alpha. I converted 2 green HM Coins, and 1 blue HM Coin. With my Premium at Lv6; a 50% increase; I got 430 HM Coins, which would be even less for non-subbers. Hm... I need 2770 more HM Coin's for full inventory. Now, let put that into perspective: I just payed $40 USD, a one-time purchase, to receive a full inventory space for my character. For players intending to get full inventory through HM Coin's only, expect it to take a lot more than a month. "You forgot about the freebies from events/roulette. Derp" Now if we include Dragon Pouches from events, its a win-win for everyone. But, events are exactly just that. Events. Whether they will include what you want (in this case, Dragon Pouches and/or HM Coin) is entirely up to NCsoft. :sweats: Now, going back to the main issue: At the end of the day, the wardrobe feature is just a Quality of Life issue or so specific individuals claim it to be. Going by this example, it justifies NCsoft's every right to put it under a paywall. Let me pose this question from the opposite angle: Does NCsoft really need to put the Wardrobe, a basic feature which is just a quality of life feature, under the subscription paywall? Does a $15 subscription for a full MMO that is not behind paywalls, where every single subscription matters, where no one is left out, where subscribers are the life and blood of the company; justify the wardrobe being under subscription paywall? When I explained this situation to my FF14 buddies (potential players), they just gave me that look: :bowling:
