Head Start for founder's pack owners will begin at 10:00am PST on January 15th, 2016, and name reservations for Disciple and Master pack owners will begin on January 11th, 2016. The game has already been officially released in the following regions: Korea: June 30, 2012

      <a name="8">Will there be Oceanic/SEA servers?</a> There are currently no plans to support Oceanic/SEA servers. However, NCSOFT has stated that if the community shows enough interest they will reconsider. A petition has been created for NCSOFT to reconsider. <a name="9">Will my characters from the other regions be transferable to the Western versions?</a> No. Transferring accounts is not possible, but transferring the physical appearance of your character from other versions is possible through the profile screenshot function in Character Creation. <a name="10">Will the Western version be region blocked?</a> There are currently no plans for region blocking. <a name="11">What are the playable races?</a> Jin, Gon, Yun, Lyn. Click here for more information. <a name="12">Why did they change the name of the Kun race to Yun for the Western release?</a> In North America, the word "Kun" closely resembles a derogatory racial slur. <a name="13">What are the playable classes?</a> There are currently six confirmed playable classes for the Western versions. The "Warlock" class can be found in the KR, CN, JP and TW clients but have yet to be confirmed for the North American and European release.

  1. Sorry, I'm in Venus server. But I'm still trying the classes after I test then all I can switch the server and faction. I agree. The game have good ideas and concepts if made more investments it could have been much more interesting. It also can be less explicit without being less sexy. I like the idea of an game with more adult and consistent thematic but without begin too tense like other games in same age group. Yea, still have other better MMORPGs on the web. But this game still stands out from most of the other.
  2. I'm playing and until now I liked this game. OK, there is nothing new in combat style of the game. It's basically just another point do click game with a mecha gear that is a better version of RF Online MAUs and full of sexy chars. The quests are to simple, until now (I played until lvl 19) is simply kill something or see some place or talk to someone. But their reward are good (not too high and not too low) and their lore are interesting. In fact the lore of the game surprises me. I expected much less from this kind of game but it's interesting and well worked. You can see something here: http://scarletblade.aeriagames.com/overview/story Their graphics are good. It can be better but if you compare with most of the MMORPGs it's good enough. The chickens sensuality are amazing and probably because of this the char customization are so restrictive. Maybe in latter expansions the developers can add more things to change. And I like the idea of the game that you are not the char but a human that is symbiotic linked to her and that command and work together. This avoid a little the Idea that she represents you in game and open more the way to improve the lore with complex things. So in the end the game is basically a sexy game with interesting lore where do you can spend some of your time playing for fun so don't expect to much from the game but it's maybe how the game what developed to be. A simple and fun game to you play casually. I liked.
  3. P2P or B2P?

    Sorry, but I still disagree. Just to clarify I don't prefer the other methods than B2P. I still believe this is the better payment mode. But I still don't believe that this will happen. The big problem to a MMORPG be a B2P game are expansions. After the initial launch the game have to prepared to be sustained by their expansions like happened with Guild Wars. But the original B&S in korea is a P2P game, all it's content updates are made in little launches in a short time: 2012 July - Official Launch 2012 October - Content update 2012 December - Content update 2013 February - Equips update *I'm ignoring patchs and events. OK they can still compile all the little updates in an expansion pack and sell it. But this will require an entire team only to work in this expansion pack, in how to support the game for the players that don't have bought the expansion, in how to make all this fair for all and how to please all the players that will wait for years to receive an expansion that was already launched in the korea. I know that all the problems can be solved but keep all this is laborious and expensive to be made to a single branch. This will make too many differences between their branchs to keep. The P2P and F2P haven't such problem. The first is the same of the main branch, the second don't need to made too many adjustments in the game. That's the why I still don't believe in B2P even I preferring it. Yeah but this is a bonus sold apart, don't matter the payment style.

    OK, let's analyse this again: B2P: Unlikely (almost impossible) Why: GW2 has proven that this market is viable. But this will not work with B&S simply because B&S is not developed to work like this. Guild Wars 2 has launched like a conventional game. You buy the game and you can play it "forever" without have pay for anything more. But when they launch a new expansion if you want to play in new areas, new quests and new classes you have to buy this new expansion. This maintain the game development and the servers and make the game profitable. But B&S is not developed like this, their content launch use smaller date intervals, less content and will not do something like a new class for each expansion or something that work good to sell a new expansion package. That's the why other games like L2 and Aion also can't be B2P. Obs.: Before explain the next two market styles I want to take down some myths: - P2P are more profitable than F2P? Unlikely the most people think the answer is no! The P2P sometimes works fine in the Hype time of the games and for a very large active player games like WoW. But when the player base goes down, their profit goes down too and with less players more players will exit because of this and more the profit goes down. That's the why we have to much games that become a F2P after some time. Only the games that retain their good players base can still in P2P. Furthermore that's impressive how much money the players waste in microtransactions. I saw players wasting hundred of dollars in things to help their up or only for personalize their chars. There's a lot of companies that make much money in this way, and the best way to take more players to do microtransactions is the F2P. Without have to pay to play the players can easily come to play a game and starts to buy in game products than any other way. - F2P players are "worse" than P2P players? No! As we have people that do what they want just because they don't have any "compromise" with the game, we also have players that do what they want just because they pay. No matter what the pay style of the game, we always have this kind of players. What's usually happens is when a game became a F2P from a P2P is that players base have a boom and a lot of this kind of player come making the people think that F2P have a worse players database. But it's proportional. P2P: Possible Why: That's the way that this game work in it's original country and works good. So is possible they keep this style because this can be profitable and have no costs and the risks than when it's adapted to another pay style. F2P: Likely Why: When the L2 became F2P was a incredible success. So great that they have to start 2 more servers just to handle the great players boom. But you can think, that was little than the when this game was launched. But it's not true. The today L2 world are much larger then it was in their launch and today's servers have much more resources (about ten times) than their original launch. Then the number of players per server is much greater then before. So I don't really know if their F2P launch was worse than their initial launch or not. Their success was too strong that in less than 6 months they do the same in AION and they have resurrected an entire almost dead game. So, if a two EOL games have became such success, what's will happen with a new and good one? What I know is...they are trying to do this in China and if it works good there is almost certain that they will done the same here.
  5. Tera vs GW2

    I'm preparing to buy a new PC to play B&S. But while it not arrives I was thinking in play another MMO. With Tera become a real F2P and after some time since the GW2 launch and with the end of their hypes I want to know which of the two are the most fun game. I know that there are too many diferences between theirs concepts. But all games have to be a common factor. A game has to be fun. So I'm using this as comparison parameter. So between them. What game is more fun? Tera or GW2? And Why? It will help me to chose which the game that a will play until B&S arrives.

    I agree. But be a Priest can't need to be a healer. As I said before, it can be more like an exorcist, barrier maker (Kekkaishi), debuffer and so on. In eastern stories of priests (like animes) the most of them are combatants. Using it's powers to protect, to restrict, to curse and to attack. In this kind the priest healing abilities usually are out of combat where they use some kind of remedy, paper seals and/or prays to heal someone while they rest. These kind of priest are also good in a staff combat. So can become cool in this kind of game. *The idea of fast healing priests came from the ocidental priest that are based in christianism where they use their powers similiar to the Jesus to heal the others. I agree. I don't really like FMs because they don't have a coolest combat type than the other classes. If you see their current game play, they are more like an fire/ice mages then really a "force" master. Are different from their early concept of be an "force" master where they are most like an Z warrior from DBZ then a mage:

  9. I agree. The most girls that play MMOs usually prefer play with beautiful womans. I don't think that the most of them will really play with an oriental model/singer guy. And for the mens, in the most we would prefer the be a cool guys like of the animes and action games.
  10. Any other ideas for new classes?

    I want to see more class variations for the races. Different versions of the existing class for different races. I also want to see a Shinto Priest/Priestess that can make Kakkais, Seals, Debuffs and some divine attack/summon magics: A lyn dark spell caster (for some expansion later) will be interesting too: And a metamorph class can be an good idea too.
  11. For me don't matter if the char is cute, strong, well designed or what. It may be deformed or make strange movements. The only thing it's need is be cool! Something like this guy:
  12. Maybe they want to do the same thing that they done with de Lyns BMs. A class variant. Only the time will show.
  13. I don't think that they will really do only 8 classes just because they don't appear to be any class planning, is more like they simply put the class that they or we want when they want. This happen because in this game, the class balance is not like the most current MMORPGs like AION, L2, WOW... Where the classes are projected to be combined together. Is more like old PC RPGs like Diablo 1 and 2, MU and others where the classes are autonomous. So they simply can launch any class that they want when they want and this will not make too much impact to game balance. Since the launch of the Assassin, they appears to simply hear the asks of the community and do a new class. This happened with the Summoner and with Lyn BM and probably will be done with the next one. So, probably the next class will be a Gunslinger or some thing like it and after it maybe an eastern monk like a kekaishi that can make Kekkais, seals and some magics and/or phisical skills.
  14. Hit boxes.

    There's another problem too. Use the youtube videos is not very reliable because some videos are very old and some as used in the example were made a year ago during the closed betas and in this time the TBL was adjusting things like hitbox. So to see if there's a real problem with hitbox first you need to check if the videos are new (the current version), if was made by someone in korea with a good connection and see if it happen with PVE or PVP or both.

    Do you have any pictures or videos of the wrong hitboxes? This way we can send something to team bloodlust to check.
