You will not steal work created by another user. All work must be original unless you are given permission by the original creator of the work to post it on the Dojo. You will not submit mods that infringe on the copyrights of companies (i.e. Sanrio outfits, etc.). You will not submit mods that require users to bypass GameGuard, nor will you that teach users how to bypass GameGuard. Off-Topic Discussion Forum rules #3, #4, #8 and #9 will be loosely enforced on the Off-Topic Discussion board. You will not need to use spoiler tags for off-topic posts, including borderline content, memes, macros, etc. Reputation System You will not use the reputation system in a way that shows bias towards specific members. The decision to ban and the length of the ban will be at the moderators’ discretion. Ban Appeals If you feel you were wrongly banned or that you have changed your ways, you can email me through the Dojo’s contact system (found on my profile underneath “Contact Information”). RAM: 4.00GB

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6520G

OS (assuming that it means "Original System"): Win 7 HP 64-Bit

Will my laptop be able to play such a detailed game? If so, what settings will I be able to play on to enjoy a smooth, fun gaming experience?

DON'T get Win 7 32-bit.

Get 64-bit.

Enjoy max settings in B&S.

I have a question. If i'm forced to use a laptop for gaming instead of desktop... are the following processor/graphics card good enough to play at max setting?

graphics card:

nvidia gtx 660m or nvidia gtx 640m (haven't decided yet, if I can get max graphics with 640m then I won't go to 660m)

processor:

Intel 3rd gen 3630QM quad core (forgot the mhz lol)

Thanks in advance!

With Gtx 680m and the same processor, I am getting 40-60+fps on max with Phys X 1080p. 25-50 fps frapsing on max everything. So I'd say you'd be able to play fine on medium (which still looks good imo).

Eh, I think i may have found my answer. I bookmarked and checked this page hoping for a reply and didn't receive on fast enough so I looked up games that are simular to this. I then downloaded a "look-alike" MMORPG called "TERA: Online" just to test what settings I could play on and such without it laggy or having a drop in FPS. Anyways I then found that I can play TERA: Online at max settings with no lag. So yay me~ :3 Now I know that I can /atleast/ play BnS on med - high settings. :D

*Here's an update to my current rig*

CPU: AMD Phenom™ II X6 1100T Overclocked to 3.8Ghz

VGA: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Overclocked to 900MHz

RAM: 16GB

Monitor :1440x900

OS: Windows 7(x64)

While the transition from the AMD Phenom X2 has improved my BnS experience significantly, I'm still disappointed that my FPS plummets down to 7fps when it comes to massive boss fights and that's with nothing else running. Anyone know what Steparu's Specs are?

The graphics card is a problem. Get a laptop with atleast a GTX6xxM graphics card. Other than that, it is recommended that you do not run MMOs on a laptop due to overheating problems(long gaming sessions/ vending = heat problems = reduced lifespan of PC = irreversible damage to parts if severe overheating occurs).

I would try to get an intel processor instead, and only get 8 gb ram (if you're only gonna do gaming) and maybe spend the extra money + save up some extra for a better graphic card.

Could you pls show me an example of a setup that would run BnS maxed. I really dont get along with pc`s.

Consider that the only folder on that computer will be named D:\games\bns - i`m not gonna use it for anything

else than playing that game. So I need a spec that I will print and show to my pc-dealer-friend.

Budget?

There isn`t a budget. I`ll pay what is needed to be payed. Basically I need the cheapest

pc setup that will run BnS flawlessly on max settings.

A system with:

An Intel Core i5 with at least a "5" in the hundred's digit of its model number. However, the best price/performance option available is on the AMD side with the AMD FX-8350, especially when overclocked.

Geforce GTX 660 Ti or better; or the Radeon HD 7950 or better.

A solid-state drive and at least 8 GB of 1600 RAM.

Hello there everyone. I've already played Blade & Soul (KR version), and tried to run the game on what I think was ultra settings, with varied results. Sometimes it plays just fine, I see no noticeable lag, and I've tried using Fraps to check my FPS. It ranges from 80 to 5. I think this mainly has to do with what I've got open and how warm my pc becomes. What I want is to make sure that my pc can handle the game at ultra settings, without causing an fps-drop to below 10 thus making it unplayable.

A few things I've discovered: If I turn my pc off and wait till its completely cold, then turn it on and open up Blade & Soul + Skype while having Game Booster 3 close down unnecessary services, my game will run for 4+ hours at what I think (emphasis on think) is ultra settings with no noticeable lag. If it has already been in use, and here we are talking I turn it on, open up google chrome/firefox and listen to music on youtube or watch my weekly anime using VLC player... Even if this is closed down, even if my pc is cold as the night, I will not be able to play with more than 20 fps on ultra settings before restarting my pc and doing the aforementioned.

First off, I am open to buying a new pc. So if my pc can't handle it, I'd appreciate any help at picking a suitable pc at the cheapest possible price. One condition: It has to be a laptop (Yes I am srs :S).

But lets see if it can even run it in the first place.

Laptop: MSI GX640

Specs:

CPU: Intel ® Core i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27 GHz

RAM: 4 GB

VGA: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Appreciate the help!

It is really necessary for me to be using a laptop. I move around so incredibly much that I just cannot use a desktop. Furthermore I'll invest in a cooler soon (one of the badass ones) so even a pc that usually gets quite warm is okay. (my MSI gets so fkin warm, so cooling it will help tremendously)

P.S.: I'd like to be able to record or stream while playing at ultra settings with 40+ fps. Can my pc do this or?
