Mods & Tools You will not post mods or tools that could be used to give you an advantage over other players (i.e. speedhacks). You will not post extremely explicit mods, such as nudity mods. You will not steal work created by another user. All work must be original unless you are given permission by the original creator of the work to post it on the Dojo. You will not submit mods that infringe on the copyrights of companies (i.e. Sanrio outfits, etc.). You will not submit mods that require users to bypass GameGuard, nor will you submit mods that teach users how to bypass GameGuard. Off-Topic Discussion Forum rules #3, #4, #8 and #9 will be loosely enforced on the Off-Topic Discussion board. You will not need to use spoiler tags for off-topic posts, including borderline content, memes, macros, etc. Reputation System You will not use the reputation system in a way that shows bias towards specific members. Repeat Offenders We will no longer be using the warning point system. Instead, temporary bans will be issued to repeat offenders. The decision to ban and the length of the ban will be at the moderators’ discretion. Ban Appeals If you feel you were wrongly banned or that you have changed your ways, you can email me through the Dojo’s contact system (found on my profile underneath “Contact Information”). Can my computer run Blade & Soul?

1361 posts in this topic

There is a moment in everyones life where they make that big question. "Can my computer run Blade & Soul?"

If that day is now upon you then you came to the right topic.

Here you will just need to post your system information and a reliable community member will eventually get to you and tell you if you will be able to run Blade & Soul and if so, how good will you play it.

As of the first CBT, this are the official minimum and recommended specs:

[Minimum Spec]

CPU: Intel Dual core/AMD Athlon 64X2 or better

RAM: 2G or better

VGA: nVidia Geforce 8600GT/AMD Radeon HD4600 or better

HDD: 15GB

OS: Windows XP (Service pack 2), Vista, Win7 (32bit / 64bit)

DirectX: 9.0c

[Recommended]

CPU: Intel Quad core/AMD Phenom II X4 or better

RAM: 4G or better

VGA: nVidia Geforce 8800GTX / AMD Radeon HD4850 or better

HDD: 15GB

OS: Windows XP (Service pack 2), Vista, Win7 (64bit)

DirectX: 9.0c

But, now you ask, "I want to know if my computer can run Blade & Soul but I dunno where to find the info to post.". No worries, even thought that wasn't exactly a question, I'll answer anyway.

Basically, you just need to provide the info of your CPU, RAM, VGA and OS.

My OS is in portuguese so bare with me, the location should be the same in the other languages. Can't guarantee the same for user of other OSs (XP, Vista, etc).

For the information about the CPU, RAM and OS, you can find that information in this window:

B%26STuto.jpg

For the information about the VGA you can find that information in this window:

B%26STuto2.jpg

And that's it. Just post the information of those 4 specs and we'll try to help you.

Example based on my specs:

Will my system be able to run it?

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400

RAM: 4GB

VGA: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100

OS: Windows 7 Home Edition (32 bits)

Extra info: *Anything that you think could help the person evaluate your computer aside from the previous info*

Don't post multiple times your information. If no one has checked your specs, just give it some time and someone will eventually give you an answer.

To the ones answering, this part is optional but would greatly help the person asking, if you could, if his system is able to run B&S, give an estimative if it would run it in high, medium and low settings. And if it is not able to run it, what part of his rig could he improve to be able to play B&S.

Ohh.

How do I check it?? >_<

  1. Click Start.
  2. On the Start menu, click Run.
  3. In the Open box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
  4. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the Display tab.
  5. On the Display tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the Device section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.

Okay thanks bro :embarrassed:

Here's my notebook spec:

CPU: Intel Atom N550(1.5GHz, 1MB L2 cache)

RAM: 2.00GB

VGA: Intel® Graphics Media Accelarator 3150

OS: Windows 7 Starter 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

So, can my notebook run Blade and Soul?

The biggest problem IMO is your GPU

It's to weak to run Blade & Soul, What i would suggest is upgrading it but there is one problem .. your on a notebook and notebooks are a pain in the ass when upgrading

So i would suggest to go and buy/build a new PC

Note: With a HUGE amount of luck you might get it to Run B&S in Ultra Ultra Low settings "but you want get a great gaming experience out of it"

^ This is just my Opinion

I had already kinda decided that I was gonna get a new desktop for blade and soul, but I'm curious as to how my laptop would run the game if I wanted to play it when I'm not at home.

Finally, a real thread in the off topic forums.

I'll reply later after work, if The Witcher II allows me to.

Those specs would allow you to play it at low settings I suppose. Unless you are standing in densely populated zones, in that case your FPS will probably be very low and might render the game unplayable.

Sorry for the duumb question, i'm not really that good with computers and i just whant someone to give a brief estimate of how B&S would run on these specs. The computer itself is almost a year old i reckon and i bought it for a smal sum from my older brother just to be able to play stuff like Aion etc.

I reckon the weakest link in that setup would be my VGA but i do have plans (if my fundings allow it) to upgrade it to a more powerfull card before B&S release :surrender:

Alltough a friend of mine says that the CPU is lacking aswell..

If your upgrade your GPU(as you said you will) i don't see why you will have problems running B&S

What i think your friend means is that your CPU might not handle the stress(Not sure how CPU depended the UnrEngine 3 is) but from the looks of it's it should run the game with high settings without problems

Desktop:

CPU: Intel Core i7 CPU 860 2.80 GHz

RAM: 8 GB

VGA: ATI Radeon HD 5570

Your Desktop wont have any problems running the game at high/max settings

Your Laptop will have a problem due to it's Chipset "Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family" From what I've heard and read this Chipset has even problem to play games that require less specs for ex: COD4, so based on that you might not be able to run B&S on the laptop (That's just my opinion)

Even if Unreal 3 was highly CPU dependent, I doubt a quad-core CPU would have any trouble with it anyway.

And yes, the GPU is the odd one out. Get a better one and you'll own away in B&S :3

Your laptop is fine, just be ready to burn your laps ^^

GPU/CPU intensive games do that with laptops.

I plan to buy a sony vaio laptop with these specs...

Processor Type : Intel® Core™ i5-2410M

Processor Technology : Dual Core

Processor Speed : 2.30GHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.90GHz

Installed Memory : 4GB (4GB x 1, onboard)

Memory Type/Speed : DDR3-1333MHz

Storage Capacity : 500GB

Graphics Processor : AMD Radeon™ HD 6470M

Graphics Video RAM : 512MB dedicated

I don't know much about computers so if this doesn't work, I'll probably just buy myself a desktop computer.

From what I've seen so far you will be able to run the game at low - med settings, But I'm not sure how it will stress your system.

Again i don't know how CPU/GPU dependent the UnrEngine 3 is but from the looks if it you pass

From the looks of it you already beaten the minimum requirements so i would say you would be able to run the game at Low - Med settings But! if you try to go higher you will start to feel some stress.

You already beat the recommended requirements so...

Based on your build and the PC that was used in the CBT Stream(which you beated) you wont have any problems running the game on Max settings

To clear up, is the posted "Recommended Settings" the guideline for being able to have everything on max, or just for "medium/high" settings?

Thanks.
