Head Start for founder's pack owners will begin at 10:00am PST on January 15th, 2016, and name reservations for Disciple and Master pack owners will begin on January 11th, 2016. The game has already been officially released in the following regions: Korea: June 30, 2012

      <a name="4">Has Beta Testing started?</a> Yes.       <a name="8">Will there be Oceanic/SEA servers?</a> There are currently no plans to support Oceanic/SEA servers. However, NCSOFT has stated that if the community shows enough interest they will reconsider. A petition has been created for NCSOFT to reconsider. <a name="9">Will my characters from the other regions be transferable to the Western versions?</a> No. Transferring accounts is not possible, but transferring the physical appearance of your character from other versions is possible through the profile screenshot function in Character Creation. <a name="10">Will the Western version be region blocked?</a> There are currently no plans for region blocking. <a name="11">What are the playable races?</a> Jin, Gon, Yun, Lyn. Click here for more information. <a name="12">Why did they change the name of the Kun race to Yun for the Western release?</a> In North America, the word "Kun" closely resembles a derogatory racial slur. <a name="13">What are the playable classes?</a> There are currently six confirmed playable classes for the Western versions. The "Warlock" class can be found in the KR, CN, JP and TW clients but have yet to be confirmed for the North American and European release.

You will not "name & shame" any cheaters, exploiters, hackers or any other rather unpleasant players. Please use the in-game Report and Block features instead. You will not post extremely explicit text or images such as pornography or gore. All content should be safe-for-work. Borderline posts should be hidden with spoiler tags to maintain a SFW (safe-for-work) environment. Please do not post links or images from Imgur. Marketplace You will not attempt to buy, sell or trade NCoin or items from the Hongmoon Store. You will not participate in any real-money trading ("RMT") transactions, such as selling gold. You will not attempt to buy or sell premium membership. You will not participate in trust trades, such as selling services, trading cross-server, or selling items from the Hongmoon store. Off-Topic Discussion Forum rules #3, #4, #8 and #9 will be loosely enforced on the Off-Topic Discussion board. You will not need to use spoiler tags for off-topic posts, including borderline content, memes, macros, etc. Reputation System You will not use the reputation system in a way that shows bias towards specific members. Repeat Offenders We will no longer be using the warning point system. Instead, temporary bans will be issued to repeat offenders. Fan-made renders using client files

As soon as i managed to use umodel (unreal model viewer) i feel like i need even more to see those gorgeous models from cbt1 client, so i decided to start rendering with 3dsmax some of those models.

There are some other posts full of umodel screenshots, there u can find upk and psk file names, with that you can render any armor u like, its really fun and takes more time to decide what to choose than the render process itself.

All you need is umodel + ActorX Importer (for 3dsmax) all free from gildor.org. You can use [b]-export [/b] command with umodel to extract psk/pskx (meshes/skeletons), psa (skeleton animations), and tga textures, thats all u need to start rendering at your own, you just need to go max and start running ActorX Importer script.

W8 for do i extract?I type something like this C:\Users\Stefan\Desktop\Umodel\umodel.exe -game=bns -extract and then drag an UPK file over it?Or what?Please explain...

make shortcut to ur umodel.exe, then right mouse button>proteriesand edit code eg:
"C:\Windows\umodel.exe -path="C:\program files..."(game paht) -game=bns -meshes (for wathing only models, someone file dont have any meshes so nothing appear)"
"C:\Windows\umodel.exe -path="C:\program files\BNS" -game=bns -meshes"
and save it. Now just drag upk file on ur shortcut.

Or:
Paste umodel.exe and dll file to C:\windows
open notepad> paste:

[code]@ECHO OFF
cls
for /f %%a IN ('dir /b *.xxx *.upk *.umap') do umodel -game=bns -meshes -path=(yourpatch game) %%a
del %%a[/code]

and save in folder with .upk file using name with bat extension (script.bat) and run it, now each one models will load automatically when u close UE Viever windows. Edited by Dobijasek

Thats amazing! question since you can make these renders couldnt you pretty much do character selection by your self?

my bad, its [b]-export [/b]and not -extract :P you can use this way "umodel.exe -game=bns -export -all"

I done a complete extraction with 2 .bat files:

1st. [b]extract.bat[/b]
[code]@ECHO OFF
cls
for /f %%a IN ('dir /b *.xxx *.upk *.ukx') do call runner.bat %%~na %%~xa
[/code]

2nd. [b]runner.bat[/b]
[code]@ECHO OFF
umodel -game=bns -export -all %1%2[/code]

Put those .bat files into the same place as umodel.exe and into coockedpc bns directory and just run the first one, it will search for all files, and export its contents in the same place, creating a folder for each file, with the same name.

You can also do a [b]viewer.bat[/b] like this:

[code]umodel.exe -game=bns %1[/code]

Then associate with your .upk files, so u can just double click on them to view.

You can find more and better support at oficial gildor forums :P

Cant really, since most of things like face and some items are more for real time and i dont know how to access to them.

ie: I only have access to a real face for each race, there are files for face customization, but its a pain to find all those hidden files confusing names, im still learning.
If you look at the picture with the dual blades lyn, u will notice its eyebrowless, and those cool eyes are cause they are black, i rendered that without a face texture xD

The program has its limitations, i.e. you have to create all the mats, some animations dont run well without manual adjusts, and i still dont know how to animate the characters with weapons :S

Im still learning how to use those files, but i dont think i can get the same result as a full featured character creator. Its close to it but u need lot of work to get close to the same result. Edited by rendermax

ie: I only have access to a real face for each race, there are files for face customization, but its a pain to find all those hidden files confusing names, im still learning.

If you look at the picture with the dual blades lyn, u will notice its eyebrowless, and those cool eyes are cause they are black, i rendered that without a face texture xD

it is simple
umodel -game=bns -path=(gamepath) -meshes -pkg=(file with animation) -pkg=(file with weapons) xxxxxx (these file must be skeletal mesh)
now pres pgdown/pgupg to find weap model and press ctrl+t and back to character model, then press ctrl+a to load animations but if you load swords you need have swordmaster animation package file etc. Now you can select animation pressing "[" or "]". But it dont work with any weap (animation bug eg wap wont be in hand or will move odd) we need to wait for better client verion cause now is much gap in files.

Anyway, I will soon send program who automatically load package with specified and other functions ;p (I have sort any client file by the content [animations/class, item, models etc]) Edited by Dobijasek

Sounds interesting :D

About weapons, i mean to be able to work with 3dsmax, i got some weapons goint to right places when loading, like some kungfu fists, but lot of weapons after loading just stay in the middle and dont get animated :S id like to do some video but without weapons getting animated with the characters its not cool enough :P

I found some interesting skill names here:

I thing to correct animated you need to load suitable skeletalmesh, when I do it in umodel all sin, summoner, and "heal" skill appear correct. I have mostly problem only when i add weapons, chair, eyes etc.
Same is with monsters, to animated xxx name mob i need to associate xxx name animset...


BTW. How do you attach texture using 3dsmax, I dont using that program much years xD Edited by Dobijasek

Here you go:

just replace that default texture name with the model one. there are also extra textures like normals that can be used as bump map. Some items has light emision textures, i use vray light material + GI to use those textures. You can also create custom specular, reflection and other masks from "diffuse" textures, just painting black&white regions like a mask.

And remember to apply opacity, you can use the diffuse tga as opacity, by enabligh alpha channel into bitmap properties. Edited by rendermax

I cant open upk using UDK too, I thing export version isn't support or wont be in public UDK ;p

Hmmm, I'm still trying to find a majority of the player animation files. I've found a few handfuls of various ones (idle stances, mount animations etc.)

but can't seem to find any working class ones save for a few (shooter etc.)

About where in the files are the ones for the races/classes?

now just explore animations by the ctrl+a and "[", "]" :D

Overally there are 367 animation package, without scripting you dont find these that easy xD
How I'd say I will soon add on forum program to easy overview .upk file with division for monster, suits, maps, weapons, animations etc. + modify game file to disable that horrible glass effect ;p Edited by Dobijasek
