Any fps drops/increase?

Compatibility with AMD/nVidia?

From my experience reshade doesn't do anything to your FPS

It will also work on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs. It's more or less just post-processing. Think instagram filters.

I already struggle with FPS so I'll pass. I am sure some people will still enjoy this though.

the soul purpose of this mod is graphics and graphics only. ^^

a GTX 960 or other graphics card with similar performance is recommended to use this mod.

sorry for not saying it before...

It's just reshade. You can get similar results with sweetfx and the performance loss is pretty minimal when using these two tools, unless you're using a GPU from the ice age or you're trying to apply it to a game like Crysis 3 or something.

Most of the taxing elements in B&S attack the CPU; not the GPU. So anyone with a decent or average GPU won't notice much if any performance loss.

it all depends which tools you using on the preset.

my preset is quite FX heavy and from my testing there is alot of FPS loss. (GTX960)

the main FX that reduce the FPS is the Ambient Light. i used it to make a FAKE HDR that looks very real.

ill post soon ON/OFF comparesation video in different maps. i worked for three days on this preset but once you'll see the video you will notice it was worth it. (for players who likes graphics hehe ^^)

Well, a GTX *60 is what I consider average/somewhat at the edge of below average.

What I consider standard for gaming would be GTX *70 or AMD equivalent and for above and beyond standard GTX *80 or *90.

I used all of the settings you have (I think more if you add AO and a few other things) in GW2 and FFXIV on a GTX 780 and the FPS loss was around 2-5. For B&S I used less flashy effects, because the game is faster paced and these things can distract while you try to dodge or block, etc. But that's my take on that.

here's a camparesation video:

ill soon upload the preset, still adjusting it for the UI...

also, here's an image that shows how this mod helps to get rid of the ugly jagged edges (look at the stairs) even after sharpening the image and the textures, using both MLAA and FXAA in specific setup.

SMAA_FXAA_MLAA.jpg

MLAA_SMAA_FXAAA.jpg

no more ingame bullshit AA that doesnt do anything, this time it works. *wink*

Just so we're clear and so that people don't misunderstand, Reshade is capable of using SweetFX effects. You could choose to just to use only SweetFX effects with Reshade and nothing else if you wanted to. The two don't need to be mutually exclusive.

It are filters to add contrast, colours and do post processing sharpening or AA

It doesn't add quality though since it needs to work with the material the game makes, it simply enhance some parts.

I had it on but I got real AA to work which add a lot of sharpness to the game and I couldnt care much about the contrast and lighting effects, it looks pretty at first but it gets in the way.

i half agree with you. adding effects and what not to do game sometimes causes visibility disadvantage.

but there is a reason that i work on it for so long,i do my best to enhance the game graphics the most with minimal visibility loss.

forcing real AA can casue alot of fps drop,ALOT (if the game engine supports it its other story). it will look the best tho but unless you have monster GFX card its better to apply SMAA+FXAA+MLAA in the right way to the game, its just need alot of work and alot of testings, which i did.

Things like 2x MSAA already looks really good with minimal FPS drops.

FXAA blurs the image add a little contrast to make it still look decent but you are destroying details. With sharpening aftwards you sharpen the details that didn't get destroyed, which doesn't sound efficient and a good idea.

Not saying it doesn't look pretty but it is not "high quality" in a sense you are covering things up with filters upon filters.

This.

Using FXAA and then applying lumasharpening for instance, which is something very common in SweetFX users, doesn't tax much if at all.

If you're using a 1440P resolution monitor or higher, like me, the jagged edges disappear completely with something as simple as that. But in the process, you lose (and gain) details elsewhere.

But again, it does look good. Keep up the good work.
