1v1 and 3v3 live!

Hey guys,

those two Arena types are now live.

Just press F9 and port to the Arena.

There you can choose if you want to join 1v1 or 3v3 match.

Also there exist daily-quests for both types of matches.

hmm I just joined some matches but the most class I got the most as opponent - what else could it be :D - lbms :p

The reward-NPC also got a weapon, which you can buy for those marks you get by finishing a match (you will get those marks if you win or you lose, just the quantity differs).

It has the same attackpower like the 5 goldcoin weapon 3 chileech and critresistance.

But this weapon, what should I say, its crap. If somebody is standing in front of you with a legendary weapon you can't compete againt 313?!? ap.

I'm really disappointed that I have to do PvE again to compete with the best.

why isn't it possible to offer a weapon with about 280 ap. For this you have to do a lot of matches.

It's "ok" to get the best weapon in PvE but why can't we PvPers have a weapon as reward to compete.

And no with just skill you can't compete with around 70 ap more of your opponent.

Considering how much you actually need to do and pay I think its fine that you get a 313 AP wpn in return.

I wouldnt mind if PvP ppl need to achieve the highest ranking (At least top 5), 400-600 matches, pay 10k Gold and then get the same wpn with PvP stats as well.

In my opinion the best WPN's ingame should always have the need to do both, PvP and PvE. I like how its done in Tera tbh. You get really good PvP gear from doing BG only (well ok Nexus as well wich is a broken system). But if you want to get the best of the best you need to be good in every aspect of the game, wich is BG, Nexus, and PvE the hardest boss. That's a system that I see fit.

Yea thats true, im still on work so I cant look at them myself. But you are definitly right, PvP'ers should be able to get a good wpn and bo-pae from and for PvP alone without having the need to do PvE.

On a different note. I kinda expected to see 40% LBM 40% Destro and 20% rest in Arena, so it doesnt suprise me tbh.

the 5 Goldcoin weapon has the same stats like the pvp reward weapon. that means 242 ap and 550 hp

Diffrence:

The pvp weapon has 131 crit resistance and the coin weapon 131 crit

PvP weapon only has 3 chi leech

coin weapon 6 chi leech

That is one o things what discourages from Tera the most. Why people who want only PvP are forced to do PvE? If game must be theme park - this 2 ways should be completely separated. Because of it games like World of Tanks is more acceptable to me even while I'm fantasy fan and I prefer gameplay from Tera.

Well in the end its personal opinion. As mentioned, PvP players should get their gear from PvP only (no Nexus only BG) wich will be the case with the 3on3 arenas that are implemented in Korea. But for the best weapons in the game everything should be needed (Those weapons should of course not be so insanely better that you can steamroll everything, wich is not the case in Tera, Visionmaker Compared to White Feldspar or later the Arena Gear).

Issue here is no everybdy realy enjoy both contents. Not everybody enjoy PvP and not everybody enjoy PvE. In practice situation where for top need all, you harm the both groups. While as I understand whole idea of theme park is separate contents for ppl with specific requirements.

242 AP weapon with only 3 chi leech is crap. Compared with legendary weapon (71 AP difference not to mention 4 hexas vs. 3 hexas and if i remember correctly 10 chi leech vs 3) and even 280+ AP weapons from spiral labs the AP difference will have significantely impact on the outcome of a fight.

Everyone who already play this game knows how heavily AP scales in this game. So someone with legendary weapon can have the same defence stats like someone with arena pvp weapon and therefore basically the same survivalbility gearwise but he has 70 AP more. It´s like 370 AP vs 300 AP. Hell 370 AP is even a lot AP with pve gear. And this doesn´t consider op / retarded classes in pvp.

Sora and Aari already wrote it: It´s okay that best gear can be achieved by pve but more pvp focused players should get gear that can compete with the best pve stuff. That´s defintely not the case here.

I don´t know where the problem is: Give us pvp player a pvp bo-pae set that can be farmed with the arena. Give us a weapon that can compete against ppl who has top pve weapons. I don´t want to farm pve shit like hell.

Hmm, I'd like to see a system where you can get a wpn based on your ranking.

The pvp weapon that is equal to 5 gold coins should be aquired after some wins/loses, without much of a hassle, since its pretty bad.

The next step could be 259 or 262 wpns that are comparable to BSH/Tower. And then for a high ranking and amount of wins you can aquire wpn compared to Spiral, wich can be upgraded the higher your rank goes, just like spiral.

And then for the highest ranking + all the PvE stuff + the Gold + Daily crystals, you can get the current legendary weapons, wich can be changed in their effect to either give crit or crit defence, as those are the ultimate wpn for people that basicly master the game in PvE, PvP, and farming

So i noticed they give you the arena quests starting at level four.

I tried out it just for the hell of it on a new level 4 blademaster, and was matched up against max level dudes in full gear that killed me instantly.

What the hell? lol

Not even sure what the point of being able to queue up is at that low of a level, especially if they don't do any sort of level matching.

And i thought i can find another way to find wep, since i cant find pt for 4 man dungeon, 242 ap wep is just ...... at least give they 270-280 = mushin tower.

The arena for itsself is funny but lbm is really retarded.

Nearly every second match is against lbm, 90% all lbm players are just bad like hell but still they win because their fu**ing class is basically op. Lbm is the most redundant class in BnS and needs to get a huge nerf.

Hmm dunno. I did around 16 1on1 now. Got 2 LBM, won 1 and lost 1. Doesnt change the fact that Chi Choke is insanely OP.

I even managed to beat all the destros I was pitted against. Im really happy about that actually. xD

My biggest challange were really good KFM's they are pretty tough to beat, bad KFM's were pretty easy to beat tho, haha

At the end of the day im 100-100 with like 1530 rating. So many losses due to their ping being better than mine -_-

Highest I've gotten was like 1580, can't break 1600 level :(

what i have noticed from pvp so far:

KFM's are almost impossible to beat with high ping, i can't click my stun/kd breaks in time and I have 0 time to react if they manage to stun me.

If you can't kill a FM with 1 combo, you're in for a world of hurt, Prepare to be kited around for days with 0 chi after they chi steal you and freeze you.

LBM's/BM's have alot of high burst damage skills, interrupt an lbm's combos and they've got a problem, BM's can at least parry.

If you face a good summoner, good luck. That class is as good as the spiritmaster in Aion.

Destroyers are really tough to kill, and as an lbm if we can't kill each other it becomes a 15 min snorefest and we just draw.

You gotta time your stunbreaks correctly vs an Assassin

Yeah even though I haven't played since OBT, and the PVP match I had against a well *points at pic*

Despite my low fps, low ping, and that I was lvl 13, and the korean player was lvl 17, I still won =D (barely). Was fun, but I am sure a lot of things have changed and I'd get owned from my lack of knowledge of future combat atm. For Lyn BM, I think baiting out the spin by setting down a bomb is a good strategy, while kiting em with shurikens. Lyn wastes 2 chi ballz, you gain some and get a free combo? Iunno, just something I thought about. Also yes, I don't even have to play, and can tell their force choke is OP!! Come on Team Bloodlust, watcha doin'!

I think developers sometimes miss the advantage of "We made this character easy to use". That means that expert players will be able to pwn easier with the character, not just newcomers. Developers need to keep in mind, that making things "easy for etc audience" isn't the best way to go about things. A good guide on understanding said thing is better. Just like school, it is indeed hard, but then becomes easier, through good explanations.

Had a lot of fun during PvP today. Its really hard as a Sin with delay but I can handle.

LBM's are broken but if you survive their choke, lightning slash and x combo you can win, haha

LBM's/BM's have alot of high burst damage skills, interrupt an lbm's combos and they've got a problem, BM's can at least parry.

If you face a good summoner, good luck. That class is as good as the spiritmaster in Aion.

Destroyers are really tough to kill, and as an lbm if we can't kill each other it becomes a 15 min snorefest and we just draw.

You gotta time your stunbreaks correctly vs an Assassin

Currently I'm a pvp player only (pve urge got killed by wow a long time ago. hoping B&S will lit a new pve spark in me). But pvp-wise I would like to see a reward system similar to wows old rating system. Every1 can work thier way up to a certain type of weapon(decent level) but only the top tier players can get a higher or highest ranked weapon with stats that can be compared to the best pve weapons. The end weapons should have a diffrence in design or color for the utmost important brag rights :silly: but also has stats that benefits the player in pvp and pvp only. It might be best if the stats actually replaces some of the stats that are better for pve. It will give pvp meaning instead of just people looking to farm the gear. I don't want to just farm the best item, i want to earn them by improving and if you set the bar 2 low (like wow did when they gave out everything to every1) it just makes the game dull. :upset:

I think it's best to seperate pvp gear from pve gear as much as possible, people who have the best pve gear shouldn't be able to just own up every1 in pvp. (including people who play pvp better but cant rival their enemies gear pve gear even though they have decent pvp gear). Likewise people with full pvp gear shouldn't be at the top of the dps list in pve. But that's just my opinion and im not rly sure how everything works yet. Going to do some more research :)

the 5 Goldcoin weapon has the same stats like the pvp reward weapon. that means 242 ap and 550 hp

Diffrence:

The pvp weapon has 131 crit resistance and the coin weapon 131 crit

PvP weapon only has 3 chi leech

coin weapon 6 chi leech

The pvp weapons aren't permanent you aren't able to repair them from what i've seen unless i'm missing something.

Oh damn makes it more useless than I already thought xD.

But I agree with Aari.

The Arenatypes are so much fun.

I love there aren't any options like capture the flag or other crap modes like that.

Just a room for 2 or 6 people, where you can start smash each others face in xD <3

Simplicity works really fine here :)

Things that need improvement tho:

Seperate Solo and random 3on3 Ranking.

Implement Premade 3on3 Ranking.

Maybe disable health potions, dunno as long as its only the super cheap potions that everyone can use are it ok.

As mentioned before, introduce more wpns AND Bopae that get better depending on your ranking.

Either you can upgrade the one you have for a cheaper price or you buy a completly new one.

Make the freakin Cat die with his SMN when hes completly dead and cant even meditate anymore, haha.

That's what Aion did (seperate pve and pvp gear) and it was atrocious. Imo both PVE and PVP type gear should be equal in power, but have their own little perks. The winner should be determined more by their skill, and not only what gear they are sporting. This is one of the big reasons I like B&S.

They should have an equal power, never said that they shouldn't. I just dont want pve'ers to run into pvp, start swinging their legendaries and wiping out 10 hard core pvpers. Some1 who has pvp'd a lot and earned above average gear shouldn't get owned by some1 with the top tier pve gear. That doesnt make any sense. And the same goes for pvp'ers going into pve. The top tier pvpers shouldnt get to do higher dmg then some1 that has pve'd a lot and has gotten above average pve gear. If u play a lot of pvp and want to jump into the world of pve it's only fair that u start at the begining'ish. It's more of a hassle that way but isn't that what these type of games are all about? Getting a challenge and then working hard to get your reward at the end. That's why people play these types of games is it not?
